Staying Focused on the Gospel in the Year Ahead
As we move deeper into the new year, one truth remains as vital today as it was when Christ first sent out His disciples: the gospel must stay at the center of everything we do. Methods may change, technology may evolve, and cultural expectations may shift—but the message of Jesus Christ never does.
The Apostle Paul captured this focus when he wrote, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). The gospel is not simply one ministry among many; it is the heartbeat of the Church. Every sermon preached, every letter sent, and every conversation shared should ultimately point people back to the saving grace of Jesus.
In a world filled with constant noise, it is easy for gods people and leaders of the gospel to become distracted by endless demands. Programs, trends, and controversies all compete for our attention. Yet none of them have the power to transform a human heart the way the gospel does. Only the good news of Christ’s death and resurrection can bring forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life.
As we move and serve in the year ahead, may we resist the temptation to drift toward what is merely popular and instead remain committed to what is eternally powerful. The gospel does not need to be reinvented—it needs to be proclaimed.
Thank you for your faithfulness to this calling and his ministry . Your commitment to communicating the message of Christ and his work is making a difference in ways you may never fully see on this side of heaven. Let us keep preaching, writing and serving, the one and only true god call JESUS CHRIST. Keep sharing the good news—steadfast, joyful, and focused—until He comes.
Be blessed! - Pastor Tim
