West Sound YFC Our mission is to bring Hope to every young person in our community! Our team creates environments where every young person feels welcome and valued.

West Sound Youth For Christ is a non-profit organization that provides hope to youth in Kitsap and North Mason Counties. We meet local youth on their turf, we build healthy relationships with them in a variety of ways, we provide access to free programs, we invite them to our clubs, we connect through groups and individual appointments, and we invite them to participate in fun events, and go on tr

ips that they'll always remember! Our free educational and outreach programs are inclusive and accessible to all children and youth throughout Kitsap & North Mason Counties. We provide an environment for positive youth development thereby enabling these students to reach their full potential in life. There are three main programs under the umbrella of West Sound YFC: Campus Life, Juvenile Justice, and Military Life. These programs are led by trained staff leaders and empowered by teams of volunteers. We work together with our neighbors to build authentic Christ-sharing relationships with at least 2000 local young people every year!

Last week, our team had the opportunity to participate in the Catalyst Public Schools Spring Carnival! 🎉

We loved connecting with students and families, sharing about our centers, and getting the chance to talk about our upcoming summer camp. Events like these remind us how special it is to be involved in the lives of young people and to partner with our community.

We’re grateful for opportunities to serve, build relationships, and be part of what’s happening throughout Kitsap County. We can’t wait for an amazing summer ahead!

Grace and second chances at The Underground

Last year, Joshua had to step away from our centers. This year, he walked back through the doors, encouraged by his brother, Ethan, a former student who still remembered the lessons he learned and the community he had here.

Jayden first came to The Underground in 6th grade. Now in 8th, his journey has been anything but easy. After his mom left, Jayden moved in with his grandfather and experienced a lot of instability.

School got harder.
So did life.

He started getting in trouble and struggled to find his footing. But something powerful happens when a young person is surrounded by consistent support. Through a partnership between Jayden's school, his grandfather, and our team, we created structure and accountability. Slowly, his behavior began to change.

Jayden started showing up consistently, every day for drop-in and every Tuesday for Club. He participated, engaged in conversations, and remembered the stories and lessons we shared.

His mom then unexpectedly decided to move him away to live with her. We had to say goodbye.

Before he left, we were able to give Jayden a Bible of his own. He told us he had already begun reading it.

A few weeks later, Club started again, and my phone rang from a number I didn't recognize. When I listened to the message, I realized it was Jayden. I called him back.

"Hey Jayden, how're you doing?" I asked.
"I'm doing good," he said. "Just here...kinda bored."
I asked if he had started school yet.
"Not yet... Actually, I was calling because I wanted to know what today's message was."

Moments like this remind us: what happens in our centers matters more than we sometimes realize. The consistency. The relationships. The message of hope. They're planting seeds in the lives of young people.

Jayden may no longer be physically here, but the impact of this community is still reaching him. That's the power of showing up.
