Hey Florida Disciples, see this announcement from Week of Compassion:
Week of Compassion is seeking more Disaster Rebuild Leaders to help lead volunteers (guiding teams in repair/rebuild projects and liaising with construction partners) in communities across the US, and we are hosting training in Crisfield, MD — Oct. 12 -15. Ideal candidates have enough “people skills” to work with volunteers and enough “handy skills” to work with construction managers and provide guidance to others.

Virtual Pre-work (6 hrs, self-directed): to be completed prior to in-person training
Oct. 12- 15, 2026 : In-person Training (Crisfield, MD - expenses paid)

Grants are available from NBA for programs that serve older adults or at risk children and youth. Check them out and see if your congregation should apply!

The National Benevolent Association is now accepting applications for Fall 2026 Mission & Ministry Grants! This program provides grant funding for projects serving older adults, educating at-risk children and youth, and intergenerational projects serving both educational purposes for at-risk children and youth and older adults. Applications will be accepted through September 30th.

Two Events. One Awesome Weekend! ❤️

There was a lot happening at The Retreat at Silver Springs this past weekend!
Crossroads brought together members of the Youth Ministry Commission and their peers for a weekend of worship, fellowship, fun, and service. They also participated in Disciples Mission Week, building benches that will be used by guests at The Retreat.

At the same time, Family Camp brought families from across the Region together for a weekend of connection, worship, activities, and plenty of fun!
From our youth to our families, it was a full weekend of ministry, community, and making memories together.

COLOMBIA NEEDS US
Today, we can do something to help. ❤️

Following the earthquake that affected Colombia, Conectame Church is joining the relief effort by serving as an Emergency Collection Center in Miami.

For three days, we will be collecting essential items that will be channeled through humanitarian organizations to help reach families and communities affected by the earthquake.

As of the end of July , we are grateful to share exciting progress in our phase 1 of our
$2.1 million Comprehensive Campaign!

💙 Outstanding Pledges: $147,405
💙 Total amount Expected: $497,393

Together, we have received in actual cash 16% of phase 1 of our campaign goal, and 24% in pledges and gifts received. This is made possible through the generosity, faith, and commitment of our community.

Every gift, every pledge, and every act of support brings us one step closer to realizing the vision God has placed before us. Thank you for imagining a future and helping build a lasting legacy for generations to come.
