Lord, may nothing separate me from You today. Teach me how to choose only Your way today so each step will lead me closer to You. Help me walk by the Word and not my feelings. Help me to keep my heart pure and undivided. Protect me from my own careless thoughts, words, and actions. And keep me from being distracted by MY wants, MY desires, MY thoughts on how things should be. Help me to embrace what comes my way as an opportunity... rather than a personal inconvenience. And finally, help me to rest in the truth of Psalm 86:13, 'Great is your love toward me.' You already see the ways I will fall short and mess up. But right now, I consciously tuck Your whisper of absolute love for me into the deepest part of my heart. I recognize Your love for me is not based on my performance. You love me warts and all. That's amazing. But what's most amazing is that the Savior of the world would desire a few minutes with me this morning. Lord, help me to forever remember what a gift it is to sit with You like this. Amen.

Morning Devotion!

Galatians 6,7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

We deceive ourselves if we think we can sow to the flesh without reaping corruption, sow the wind without reaping the whirlwind. Sin, as many have noted, always takes you further than you want to go, keeps you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay. But if we sow to the Spirit, we shall reap life.

Lord, let us learn how to sow the good Word of God in our own lives and in the lives of others. May we cease to sow the seeds of sin. May we awaken to the fact that you are not mocked, but we shall reap what we sow in life.
Amen 🙏

Morning Devotion!

Shalom Peniel Center!
Luke 5, 27
And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

Jesus chose a despised publican (tax collector working for the Romans to tax his own people) to be among the ranks of his 12 disciples. Jesus made himself a friend of publicans and sinners and welcomed all who would turn from sin and follow him. With one simple command, "Follow me! , " Christ took Levi (Matthew) for his disciple.

Lord Jesus, may I be as quick to leave all and follow you as was Levi of old. At your call, he rose and left all to follow you. He gave up a very profitable position and turned his back on his former sinful life. He never looked back. May we also value being true disciples of you more than all that the world may have to offer.
