เจ้าประคุณสมเด็จพระมหาธีราจารย์ กรรมการมหาเถรสมาคม เจ้าคณะใหญ่หนเหนือ เจ้าอาวาสวัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลาราม ราชวรมหาวิหาร ประธานกรรมการอำนวยการวัดธัมมาราม ประธานก่อสร้างอุโบสถวัดธัมมาราม นครชิคาโก ร่วมอนุโมทนาบุญในกุศลศรัทธาคณะสงฆ์อุบาสก อุบาสิกา และคณะกรรมการวัดไทยกรุงวอชิงตัน ดี.ซี. นำโดย พระวิเทศรัตนาภรณ์ เจ้าอาวาสและประธานกรรมการ ถวายปัจจัยร่วมสมทบทุนสร้างอุโบสถหลังใหม่ ของวัดธัมมาราม นครชิคาโก สหรัฐอเมริกา เป็นเงินรวมทั้งสิ้น $7,245.00 ดอลล่าร์ เพื่อร่วมดำเนินการโครงการก่อสร้างอุโบสถวัดธัมมาราม นครชิคาโก มลรัฐอิลลินอยส์ สหรัฐอเมริกา ( Project to build the Ubosoth(Odination Hall ) at Wat Dhammaram,Chicago,IIIinois, USA )
ในการนี้คณะกรรมการอำนวยการวัดธัมมาราม พร้อมด้วยคณะสงฆ์ อุบาสกอุบาสิกา สาธุชน มีความประสงค์ร่วมกันที่จะสร้างอุโบสถวัดธัมมาราม นครชิคาโก หลังใหม่ เพื่อใช้เป็นสถานที่ให้พระสงฆ์ได้ทำสังฆกรรมตามพระธรรมวินัย ประกอบพิธีสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนา ของชาติ เพื่อส่งเสริมศิลปวัฒนธรรม สืบสานรักษาประเพณี สืบทอดการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา และเพื่อประโยชน์และสันติสุขของพุทธบริษัทชาวไทยและนานาชาติในสหรัฐอเมริกา
วัดธัมมาราม จดทะเบียนก่อตั้งเป็นศูนย์พุทธศาสนาไทยแห่งรัฐอิลลินอยส์ เมื่อ พ.ศ. ๒๕๑๗ และได้ยกสถานะจากศูนย์เป็นวัดขึ้น เมื่อ พ.ศ. ๒๕๑๙ เป็นวัดเก่าในยุคเริ่มต้นสร้างวัดไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกา และต่อมาได้อาราธนา สมเด็จพระมหาธีราจารย์ เจ้าอาวาสวัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลาราม (เมื่อครั้งดำรงสมณศักดิ์ที่ พระสุธีรัตนาภรณ์ ผู้ช่วยเจ้าอาวาสวัดจักรวรรดิราชาวาส) เป็นประธานกรรมการอำนวยการ นำศรัทธาสาธุชนสร้างวัดและพัฒนาต่อเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน นับได้ ๕๐ ปี ที่ตั้งวัดปัจจุบันมีพื้นที่ ๒๕ ไร่ เมื่อ พ.ศ.๒๕๒๖ ได้ปรับปรุงอาคารและสร้างเพิ่มเติม เพื่อเป็นกุฏิที่พักพระสงฆ์ อาคารสวดมนต์ปฏิบัติธรรม บำเพ็ญสาธารณกุศล และเป็นอุโบสถ ได้ประกอบการพัทธสีมาพิธี พร้อมกับมีพิธีเปิดวัดและสมโภชวัดอย่างเป็นทางการ เพื่อให้เป็นวัดที่ถูกต้องตามพระวินัยบัญญัติและกฎหมายโดยสมบูรณ์ ต่อมา ทางวัดได้สร้างศาลาเอนกประสงค์ พ.ศ. ๒๕๓๖ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ได้โปรดพระราชทานชื่อว่า ศาลาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ (QUEEN SIRIKIT HALL) และ เมื่อ ๒๗ พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๓๘ ทรงเสด็จพระราชดำเนินเปิดศาลาเฉลิมพระเกียรติ ในปัจจุบัน อุโบสถทรุดโทรมตามกาลเวลา คณะกรรมการจึงมีมติเห็นควรร่วมกันที่จะสร้างอุโบสถหลังใหม่ และการออกแบบอุโบสถใกล้เสร็จสมบูรณ์พร้อมที่จะลงมือก่อสร้างแล้ว
เนื่องในโอกาสฉลองอายุวัฒนมงคล ๙๐ ปี สมเด็จพระมหาธีราจารย์ (ปสฤทธ์ เขมงฺกรมหาเถร) ๒๔ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๗๐ คณะกรรมการ ศิษยานุศิษย์ จึงได้ร่วมดำเนินการโครงการเพื่อถวายเป็นมหาเถรบูชา ในอากาสอันสำคัญยิ่งในวาระนี้

With the executive committee of Dhammarama Temple, together with the monks, male and female devotees, and the community, wanting to jointly build a new ordination hall at Dhammarama Temple in Chicago so that monks can conduct monastic ceremonies according to the Dhamma-Vinaya, carry out important Buddhist rituals, promote arts and culture, preserve traditions, continue spreading Buddhism, and for the benefit and peace of the Thai and international Buddhist community in the United States.
Dhammaram Temple was officially registered as the Thai Buddhist Center of the State of Illinois in 1974 and was later upgraded from a center to a temple in 1976. It is one of the older temples from the early days of Thai temple construction in the United States. Later, they invited Somdet Phramahathirachan, the abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphonvimolmangklaram (when he held the monastic title Phra Suthiratnaporn, assistant abbot of Wat Chakrawatrajawat) to serve as the chairman of the director committee, leading the faithful to build and continuously develop the temple up to the present. It has now been 50 years. The current temple grounds cover 25 rai (10 acres). In 1983, the buildings were renovated and additional structures were built to serve as monk residences, a hall for chanting and meditation, a space for public charity, and an ordination hall. The temple held a boundary marker ceremony along with an official opening and celebration to ensure that the temple was fully compliant with monastic rules and the law. Later, the temple built a multi-purpose hall. In 1993, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit graciously bestowed the name 'Queen Sirikit Hall' upon it. And on May 27, 1995, Her Majesty made a royal visit to open the Honorary Hall. Nowadays, the ordination hall has deteriorated over time, so the committee agreed that it would be best to build a new one. The design of the new ordination hall is almost complete and ready for construction.
On the occasion of celebrating the 90th birthday of Somdet Phramahathirachan (Pasarit Khemangkaramahathera) on May 24, 2027, the committee and disciples have jointly organized this project to honor him as ‘Mahatherapuja’ on this very special occasion.
