Francis Anglican Church is a member of the Free Anglican Mission Society a fully independent denomination in the Anglican tradition. We are not “broken away” from any other Anglican jurisdiction, and as such, we do not consider ourselves to be in opposition to or in conflict with, any other Anglican jurisdiction. We are fully and completely independent and proud of this. We are not seeking, nor sh
all we seek, the approval or approbation of our legitimacy from any other church. We, as a denomination, hold to the historic beliefs of the Church Catholic, yet teach these beliefs in a way that opens them up to a greater majority of believers. We, as a part of the Church Catholic, also hold within our clergy the Historic Apostolic Succession. We wish to state clearly, that, although some of our lines of succession come from Old Catholic, and Independent Catholic sources, we are fully and unequivocally Anglican in our beliefs and practices. We strive to bring the Good News of God in Christ to those who have been disenfranchised or forgotten by the mainstream churches. We seek to preach the inclusive Gospel to all, without exception. We, as a denomination, are a synthesis of tradition and progressivism. We do not see these as antithetical to each other, but that they are mutually beneficial to each other, and to us. Our worship is exclusively taken from the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, and such approved additions as are deemed necessary. The traditional Prayer Book is an anchor that steadies us in the storms that modern life tosses at us. It is also a bridge which gives us access to our spiritual ancestors and helps us keep a strong foundation of faith and practice.
