Beautiful time of prayer at the world prayer Center previously Peach Orchard Campground.

Dear friends,
Our 72 Hour Consecration is underway! Praise God, we had a beautiful, powerful time opening last night, and the fire has been burning steadily!

We want to inform everyone that our 72 hours are now being livestreamed! We previously had only planned to livestream the opening and closing sessions, but the Lord made a way for us to livestream the full 72 hours. Find the Zoom link in the document below, and feel free to tune in any time to see, hear, and participate in what the Lord is doing in our Prayer Room!

TWPC 72 Hour Consecration: Remote Participation

Don't forget (flyers attached!):
Closing Session on Saturday (8/16), 5-7pm: Wrapping up our 72 hours with Communion and celebration!
Family Prayer Wing Consecration on Sunday (8/17), 7-8pm: Consecrating our new prayer space for children and families. All are welcome!
May He be pleased with our offering, and clear away every distraction so we might fix our hearts on Him!

By His grace,
~ Timothy, for the TWPC team

"Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving.

"And she went up to him and said, 'Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.'

But the Lord answered her, 'Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary.Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.'"

Backpack ministry.

It's that time of the year again.
If you'd like to help pack a backpack for those that have been human trafficked and need help. We are hoping to have 50 by September 21, 2024
If you can't get out to get supplies or use Amazon we'll happily take money towards it. The list looks like a lot but most of it's pretty small stuff.

to Tabernacle

Dear brothers and sisters,

As we start to hit the final stretch of summer, we hope the Lord is guiding your steps and keeping your eyes on Him, friends. Read on to see what's ahead this month for the Tabernacle World Prayer Center!

What's Happening This Month at TWPC?

1) Missionary Visit: A missionary named Josh who is serving in Europe plans to visit us in mid-August (8/12-15). We look forward to several days of hosting him for prayer and connecting for the Kingdom!

2) Anniversary Acts 12:24 Prayer Saturation: August 2024 marks one year since TWPC officially launched as a ministry! To celebrate, we decided to honor and bless our ministry covering, Acts 12:24, a network of 120 some churches across the Northeast of the US. We plan to take three days at the end of August (8/28-30) to pray as a team for each individual church in the network and created a way for churches to submit prayer requests (see attached QR code).

3) New Team Member: We are overjoyed to soon be welcoming a new team member to TWPC! Lucas Wood, currently serving at Faith Community Church in Harrisonburg, VA, was recently ordained and plans to relocate soon to pastor at Layhill Community Church in Silver Spring, MD. Though he won't be making a full transition until late September, we're grateful for and blessed by the ways Lucas has already supported and partnered with TWPC from afar, and are eager to have him join the team once he's settled in Maryland!

Regular Prayer Gatherings

Sunday evenings: 6:30-8pm with TWPC team
Monday evenings: 9pm-12am with First Love Fellowship
Monday & Friday mornings (in-person + Zoom): 6-7am with TWPC & prayer families
Special Events

United Front Prayer Service (8/18): 6:30-8pm (see attached flyer)
Tentative: Work & Pray Day on TWPC grounds (8/25-27) — reply to this email if interested!

Praying for States

8/4-10: Utah
8/11-17: West Virginia
8/18-24: South Carolina
8/25-31: Indiana

How to Pray for TWPC ministry

Pray for Josh's visit to be restful and fruitful, and for more fruitful relationships between TWPC and those with a heart to pray.
Praise God for one year of His faithfulness to TWPC! Pray for the prayer saturation initiative to powerfully bless the Acts 12:24 network and advance God's purposes across the whole Northeast region.
Prayer request from Lucas: "As dangerous as it may be, I just really want God to shape me in the next two months so I can be His instrument right away and used for His glory in the transformation of the greater Layhill community and TWPC."
We're grateful for every prayer you lift up on our behalf, friends. May He bless you double for every way that you have blessed us!

By His grace,

~ Timothy, for the TWPC team

"I will bless you... so that you will be a blessing."

Dear friends,
So much to thank the Lord for at the Tabernacle World Prayer Center! Here's a glimpse of what the Lord was up to here in July (including a few attached pictures!).

1) God's Provision for Tree Removal!

The Lord has blessed us with so many who've helped us to steward the grounds by offering their services at reduced rates. For many months, we'd been eyeing some trees on the TWPC grounds that were dangerously close to falling and taking out power lines or buildings, but unsure of how we would afford their removal.

Then the Lord connected us to a local tree company that turned out to be an absolute God-send. They offered an incredibly generous price knowing that we're a ministry, showed up punctually and got the job done within a couple hours, and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly — all within a couple days of the initial connection! We praise God for their excellent, prompt, and generous service, and for His gracious provision!

2) Participating in the Movement of God

United Front in July was a powerful time. Our state of the week was Colorado, and we were encouraged to hear the testimony of and pray for a church in Denver that has seen 4,500 baptisms this year!!

We also had the privilege of welcoming a local missionary with a heart for a Muslim Unreached People Group (present in Asia, with a substantial diaspora population here in the DC area) to come share about how we could pray for this people group. There are rumors that God is moving mightily among this people in Asia, on par with the fastest growing churches in the world elsewhere in the Muslim world! A few days after our time, a couple people who'd been present at that prayer time got lunch together at a local ethnic restaurant representing that people group, and got to pray for their Muslim server!

God is moving in extraordinary ways, all over the earth and right here in the US. It is our privilege to participate in His movement through prayer!

3) Connecting with Other Prayer Ministries

It was a very fruitful month in building relationships with other prayer ministries, both near and far. During our week of praying for Ohio, one of our team members got to connect with the director of the Greater Toledo House of Prayer and heard some incredible testimonies from their 25 some years of intercessory work — including the largest abortion clinic in Toledo being transformed into a memorial park for aborted infants, and the largest LGBTQ bar being transformed into their current prayer house! We're making plans for further conversations to connect more and learn from them!

In late July, some of us got to take a "team field trip" to visit some local worship and prayer ministries. We had a wonderful time connecting with the founders and praying at the 24/7 House of Prayer in Frederick, and "The Barn on Fire" in Damascus. It was wonderful to get a greater window into how the Lord is moving in both of these cities as God is uniting His people in worship and prayer.

We also started exploring ways that we can partner with these like-minded, like-hearted ministries for the Kingdom. Our friend at the Frederick prayer house said that she was inspired by us praying weekly for a different state, and asked us to send her the state prayer schedule (which we derived from another prayer ministry, David's Tent in DC) so they could start to follow it as well! The evening we attended, The Barn closed out the night by specifically praying for God's anointing and favor over our team.

The Lord is providing, powerfully moving, and inviting us to join hands with Him and each other in His work. We praise God for all that He's doing, and are excited to see all that He will continue to do for His glory!

Grace and peace,
~ Timothy, for the TWPC team
