This Church began meeting in a family home in 1877 before a building was built in 1878. Over the one hundred and thirty plus years of being a church home in one form or another, thousands of lives have been nurtured and challenged to live out their discipleship in the name of Christ. Today, the nurturing and challenging continues. Together, we of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church honor and c

elebrate the heritage of the past, the many tasks of ministry in the present and the bold challenges which lie ahead in the future. God continues to call forth, in this place, a people...to worship, learn, grow and serve in the name of the One who came that we might have life, and have it abundantly. You're warmly invited to join us during the Advent season as we prepare our hearts and homes for the coming of Christ. Pastor Christine's sermon series this season is "Raise Your Voice"
Throughout Advent, we will host services every Sunday through December at 204 Madore in Silver Lake, Kansas. We will also have our traditional candlelight services on Christmas Eve at 7pm.
Come and experience moments of peace, reflection, and joy with inspiring scripture readings, uplifting music, and a warm community atmosphere. All are welcome, and we look forward to celebrating this holy season with you.
