This is an excerpt from a post by my friend Dave Bickford. He has issued a call to prayer prompted by the Holy Spirit. I’m in! Having already prayed through the Lords Prayer several times I would challenge you to go a step further and meditate on each phrase thinking about what you are actually praying for.

“Our nation needs prayer… Who's in, and has a moment?

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.

It's a World prayer assignment, just a couple of minutes for the health of all the sick, weary, and heartbroken. This World needs this more than ever!”

Amen! I shared this because it needs to be repeated! Don't change your theology in order to be accepted or gain approval. Another church in the city of Laodicea did this and look where it got them in their relationship with God. Read about it in Revelation 3:14-22

I saw this and had to repost it because it is so true and very pertinent for today. I am thankful for my time with John Paul Jackson. In his course, The Art of Hearing God, he teaches an entire section on public and private victories, which is what this quote is about. There is a desperate need for personal holiness in the body of Christ today especially in the lives of our leaders.

“but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.” -1 Corinthians 9:27
