Meet Merle & Diane Bontrager!

💼 Job outside of New Life Kids:
owners of Flavorful Kettle Corn.

🙌 Where they serve:
Nursery Director

⏰ How long they’ve been serving:
Approximately 8 years

💖 Favorite memory:
“We had a child who would always cry when they were dropped off and after some time was happy to go to class when they saw I was in the room.”

🌱 Why they love being part of New Life Kids:
“Getting to pour into the lives of so many little children alongside an amazing team.”

🏡 When they’re not serving:
“At home with our fur babies, on the kettle corn trailer at a fun event, spending time with family and friends.”

🛳️ Fun fact:
“our favorite vacation is being on a cruise ship 🛳️”

🎲 2 Truths and a Tale:
1️⃣ we have relatives who are famous.
2️⃣ we have been on TV.
3️⃣ all of our parents grew up Amish.

✨ New Life Kids Leader Spotlight ✨

Meet Casey and Kisha Sawyers!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family:
Casey and Kisha have five awesome kids — Joli, Chloe, Amelia, Kagan, and John!

💼 Jobs outside of New Life Kids:
Casey works for Don’s Cold Storage as a Logistics Manager, and Kisha homeschools their crew while running a small farm.

🙌 Where they serve:
Casey and Kisha are the Children’s Directors for our 3-year-old through Pr***en classes.

⏰ How long they’ve been serving:
They’ve been faithfully serving in the children’s ministry for three years!

💖 Favorite memory:
Their favorite memory is the first time they saw the kids worship — watching children as young as five lay hands on one another to pray. It’s a moment so powerful, words can hardly describe it!

🌱 Why they love being part of New Life Kids:
They love getting to watch kids grow — not just physically, but spiritually — into who God has created them to be.

🚜 When they’re not serving:
You can usually find them working on the farm or hanging out with Team Ault!

🎯 Fun fact:
They collect a golf ball from every place they travel to!

🎲 2 Truths and a Tale:
1️⃣ We’re both super competitive — sometimes too competitive for games!
2️⃣ We can both sew and enjoy doing it together.
3️⃣ Neither of us wanted to serve in the kids department when we joined NLC because we didn’t think it was a good fit.

Calling all Pr***en Students! 📖

Did you know we have a Bible Challenge each week? Every Sunday when our pr***en students bring their Bible, they earn an entry into the challenge! At the end of the month, we draw to pick two winners! 🙌

This month’s winners are Jaxson and Luke — great job, guys! 🎉

Don’t forget to bring your Bible next Sunday! And if you don’t have one, talk to one of your teachers — we’ll make sure you get one. The Word of God is the Book of Life, and it’s so important to keep it close!

First up, meet Dustin & Talena Keeler, our incredible Pastors of New Life Kids! 💛

💼 Jobs outside of New Life Kids: Dustin is a State of Arkansas Facilities Inspector, and Talena is a homeschool mom.
📍 Where they serve: Everywhere! 😆
⏳ Serving with New Life Kids: 14 years (7 years as Pastors!)

✨ Favorite memories: “There are so many great memories! Watching the kids worship and pray with their friends, VBS, and any time we get to connect one-on-one with the children.”

💖 Why they love New Life Kids: “We love instilling God’s Word and Biblical principles in kids at a young age and watching their lives be changed.”

🎲 When they’re not serving: Hanging out with family, playing board games, or enjoying the outdoors.
🎉 Fun fact: They love doing escape rooms!

✨ We had such an incredible Celebration Sunday last week with 31 baptisms! 🙌 What a powerful day for all of our Kids to be a part of! This Sunday we’ll be back in our classes, and we can’t wait to see everyone. Join us for services tomorrow at 9 and 11 AM — it’s going to be a great day!
