GOOD MORNING!
Today I pray that we each examine ourselves to see if we be of the faith.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭8:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It seems as though more and more we see professed Christians living anyway we want under the guise of , "God wants me to be happy."

Less and less, do we take seriously the words of Christ, "deny himself".
Less and less, are we willing to treat our bodies as a, "temple of the Holy Spirit" that has been "bought with a price".

We do however want to slide our "grace card" every chance we get.

Please don’t misunderstand.
Grace is beautiful and free.

We are saved by grace through faith and not by our works lest any of us should boast (Eph. 2:8-10)
and
Through the Blood of Jesus we who were once far away from God have been drawn close to Him. (Eph 2:13).

The grace extended by Jesus saves our lives and picks us up when we subsequently fall down.

BUT

Grace is never to be perverted into an excuse to walk contrary to God.

In fact we cannot walk closely with God and drag our worldly lusts along with us!

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christ died to break the chains of sin and death, not to extend us a free pass to hang on to our fleshly desires.

“that as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are called to glorify God with our body and in our spirit.

He sees all we do and hears all we say.
“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭KJV

‬‬How can we glorify Him and walk in the flesh?....WE CAN'T!

Denying oneself is not easy, but it will never be as hard as having nails driven through our hands and feet!

Christ denied Himself when He took of His Holy Crown and left the portals of Glory to carry His Cross up Calvary's hill wearing a crown of thorns, being ridiculed and mocked as He paved the way for us with His precious Blood.

He denied Himself when He refused to call down angels to destroy those who were driving the nails through His flesh. He denied Himself when he cried out, "Father forgive them for they no not what they do!"
Luke 23:34

If we are truly Christ-like how is it we think our Heavenly Father places our "happiness" above His holiness?

The truth is, if we believe sinful fleshly desires and worldly pleasures are making us happy, we are being deceived.

Sure we may feel the temporary emotion of happiness, or a dwindling rush of momentary euphoria but anything that is contrary to the character of Christ, will ALWAYS bring destruction and ultimately disrupt our joy.

If sin had no cost, there would've been no need for Christ to pay the price!

Let us purposefully seek His ways and we will find that He will do His perfect work within us replacing our carnal desires with the desires of His own heart.

GOOD MORNING!
This was in my memories from one year ago. It is a much needed reminder….

May the God of all wisdom, peace, and comfort bathe you in the clarity of your calling!

I AM CALLED

As I lay praying for direction, God impressed I should open my Bible reading for today. The following scripture is what I read.

“who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:24-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

BOOM

I know He called me into His ministry. I know He told me to “Go and Tell” and I know He hasn’t changed His mind. Yet, I will fall into traps of wandering, “What am I supposed to do next?” “How quickly am I supposed to do something?” “Will anyone come along beside me?” “Are people getting tired of me!” “Is it making a difference!”

Well this morning he once again quietened my spirit as He made it abundantly CLEAR what my next move, my EVERY move is to be...

FULFILL HIS CALLING ON MY LIFE!

Ofcourse that will always require prayer for direction and sitting before Him to listen for His answer, but it will never entail the fear of moving my feet! It will never entail giving up! It will never entail listening to voices who contradictHis voice.

HE MADE IT CLEAR!

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”
Revelation 3:6-8

I am to GO and TELL! I am to try to get into anywhere and everywhere the lost need found and the Church needs to be edified, encouraged, awakened and REVIVED! When by my works I show my faith,(see, James 2:14-26)then by His Grace He will show His favor to open the right doors and close the wrong doors!

KNOW THE VOICEBOF TRUTH.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”
1 John 4:1

“The devil will try to discourage you, to divert you; he will seek to dilute your testimony; he will attempt anything to destroy your relationship to Christ and your influence upon others.” Billy Graham

When one is called into the ministry of Christ, there will always be voices of opposition. Many of those will mean well believing they are giving “good advice”, some may try to convince you The Bible speaks against you being in the ministry. Some may just be outright agents of the enemy. However, it doesn’t matter, because I know, when God ordains something, it is neither contingent on the praise nor permission of man AND even the gates of hell cannot prevail against it!

“ And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 5:18

BE ENCOURAGED TODAY. GOD WILL RAISE YOU UP INFRONT OF THOSE WHO WISH TO SET UP DOWN.

“The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. It is God that avengeth me, And that bringeth down the people under me, And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: Thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: Thou hast delivered me from the violent man.”

No matter who you are, where you live, the amount of resources you seem to have or not have, if God has laid a calling on your life, He has ordained you and enabled you to fulfill it! You may fell like your first step is alone, but it is not. The Holy Spirit of God is not only walking with you but leading you through!

WE ARE IN AN ESTHER 4:14 MOMENT.

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?””
‭‭Esther‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is raising people up for time such as now. His people need deliverance from the evil that is trying to shut us down. God is raising up a remnant that will remind His Church who they are and will charge the enemy’s camp to set captives free, with the Word of the Gospel!

DO NOT miss your purpose, your blessing, or the salvation of those within your territory because you let fear set you back down!

RISE UP!
WALK IN YOUR CALLING!

God qualified you!
There is not a man, woman, church leader, Pharisaical spirit, well meaning friend, or demon is hell that can disqualify you!

“And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

GOOD MORNING!!!
We have already been given power, authority, and armor to win every battle, but we have to first understand.... THIS IS WAR!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is not the first time God has laid this passage on my heart or given me a word about it.
He has a way of reiterating His Word and putting precept upon precept confirming His Word. He is roaring across the lands! WHEN WILL WE LISTEN? WHEN WILL WE SEE?

So many remain blind many by choice.
The The truth is still the TRUTH whether we believe it or not!

Those of us who KNOW we are living in spiritual warfare have to STEP IT UP.
If it is not part of our lives already, we have got to realize the importance of fasting regularly.

We know Jesus Himself said,
“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21

I'd dare say this is the strongest spiritual battle we have ever faced. Whether we choose to admit it or not, there is a great stronghold on our country and our world.

We have the Power within us as His Church to tear it down! But we cannot bring down these strongholds of disobedience to God until we ourselves are obedient.

Part of that obedience is bringing our own thoughts captive and discerning complete truth. These things are only possible by growing in the Holy Spirit, which takes regular prayer, studying of His Word and regular FASTING. Fasting gets left out of many Christian lives. I have been guilty of not giving enough importance to fasting, even though Jesus put great importance on fasting. Funny how we often want to be Christlike as long as it doesn’t make us uncomfortable. That’s what happens when we believe a twisted gospel that Jesus came to make us “fat and sassy with a bank full of money.” We have to turn aside those “gospels” that tell us it’s all about our creature comforts.
Jesus came to overcome the flesh not cater to it.

“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:24-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He loves us and wants us to have peace, joy, and prosperity. But His idea of prospering and ours are often at odds.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Serious denying of ourselves that He may be glorified in us, isn’t easy on our flesh.

IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE!
If denying our flesh was easy we'd not need to lean on Him. If we never leaned on Him, He’d never increase within us.

“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Maybe something else is harder for someone to give up than food, if so fast from that thing.
I think a fast from food and ALL social and ALL "news" media for 24 hours
would be an incredible fast for many of us.
It would take our minds off of every distraction and place them upon HIM.
If every time we wanted to eat or peek at the headlines,info, FB etc... we prayed and opened our Bibles instead, I think we'd be surprised at the power we'd receive and retain.

If we cannot give up a little when we know the reward is great, how can we ever expect to walk in the power God intended? How can we keep asking God to move, but keep refusing to move with Him or in Him?

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There are Christians in other parts of the world who have “resisted unto blood” as they stood against evil. Many of us have been incredibly blessed and all God has asked from us is obedience, yet we balk. It’s as if we think Grace negates our need to follow God’s instructions.
This may come as a surprise, but Paul who wrote most of the New Testament through divine inspiration, was living under Grace! Yet, he not only walked in obedience, he not only faced suffering, he not only denied himself, but he wrote it down so we would know how!

Grace isn’t an excuse to walk in defeat, it is the unmerited favor of God, Who makes it possible to follow Jesus NO MATTER WHAT, and gives us power to walk over that which threatens to destroy us.

We just have to decide.... are we willing to take up our cross and deny ourselves in order to claim this Victory?

PLEASE UNDERSTAND...
If we are saved we already have eternal victory so, why in the world would we want to walk around down here defeated when we DO NOT have to?

HEAR THIS WELL....
The devil has NO AUTHORITY OVER A CHILD OF GOD! He has limited power in this world but NO AUTHORITY unless we give it to him! If we truly want to shut down his agendas and assignments in our lives, we have to grab hold of the authority we have been given OVER him AND his demons and SHUT HIM DOWN!

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This is our promise to claim! If we are tempted to argue “but Christians do get hurt or do get sick” remember and take heart in this truth.... It is only our flesh that gets hurt or sick, our spirit is already immortal.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
‭‭John‬ ‭11:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have to stop letting our fear for our flesh keep us from operating in the Spirit.

Our greatest promise and greatest reason to praise Him, has NOTHING to do with the flesh.

Where we are headed the flesh cannot go!

“Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now suit up!
We have work to do! There are still people out there waiting for us to lay aside all fear and complacency. They are counting on us to leave our comfort zones and walk over this evil, trampling it underfoot as we head out to rescue them!

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:36-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

O’ Lord,
Please calm every fear of Your Children. Please send Your laborers into the field. Please send Your watchmen to the wall.
Please raise Your Church up in boldness.
Please remind us....WE ARE THE REMNANT and WE WIN!

GOOD MORNING!
Oh how longsuffering and merciful God has been. Even in His chastening He extends love, mercy, and grace. We may not see it or feel it immediately, but all He does is for His Glory and His children’s good. He desires to help us in our weakness, but sometimes we block His blessings with our disobedience.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:26-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

King Amaziah was a good King EXCEPT he did not tear down the altars in the high places and his punishment was leprosy SENT BY GOD.

“And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done; save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places. And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a l***r unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭15:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The more I study The Word, the more sure I am this pestilence is our chastening for decades of refusing to tear down the “high places of worship”, ie every idol we allowed to take the place of worshipping Him, every excuse we made for not entering His Gates with praise and thanksgiving, everytime we chose entertainment over assembling together, everytime we sat in complacency instead of going going to make disciples, every time we chose to bow down to secularism. In other words everytime we pushed God to the background and disobeyed His commands whether by our actions or our inactions.

We have to stop believing this life in the flesh is most important. What happens after this life is what matters most. God knows what it will take to draw us back to Him. Praise Him for loving us enough to do what’s best for us. Even though we may not understand, I firmly believe one day we will.

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do I believe this pestilence entered through dubious and diabolical attempts to “play God”? I think that is a very strong possibility. BUT no matter how it got here, it did not happen without God knowing and allowing it to spread. That’s a tough thought to digest, especially for a generation who has only ever heard,
“God is Love”, and never been told...

GOD IS JUST
“He is the Rock, his work is perfect: For all his ways are judgment: A God of truth and without iniquity, Just and right is he.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

GOD IS JEALOUS
“for thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭34:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

GOD CHASTENS THOSE HE LOVES
“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

GOD WILL NOT STRIVE WITH MAN FOREVER.
“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have all probably heard the story of Noah’s Ark, but what struck me hard this morning is the fact the story of Noah starts in Genesis 6. SIX chapters into God’s Word....SIX CHAPTERS!!! The Bible is made up of 1189 chapters. By chapter 6, God was repenting His creation of man because of all the wickedness that spread once Adam and Eve broke God’s ONE command.

God destroyed the world except for 8 people, who were saved because ONE person, Noah, found favor with God, because he didn’t compromise God’s Word.

“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:5-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Out of 1189 chapters of the Bible, SIX chapters in God was done with the wickedness of man. How FULL of Grace and mercy He has been toward us. Because we are living “many chapters in”, with wickedness abound, yet due to His loving grace, we have not been completely destroyed.

How haughty must we have become,
•to think we can live any way we want to, preach to others, “God is fine with any lifestyle you choose”
•to compromise at every turn
•to spend years shedding innocent blood and
•to never expect God’s anger to fall or His protection to be lifted?
“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

WE HAVE FALLEN.
When we choose to live outside His Will we move ourselves outside of His protection. We have ran so far down our own paths we have fallen into diverse temptations and are seeing the consequences play out in a heart wrenching (and prayerfully a heart changing)way.

ANOTHER KIND OF FALL HAS/IS HAPPENING AS WELL.
There has been a great falling away from “faith in God”. God is causing those who have been Christian “in name only” to reveal themselves as they side more and more with the world and less and less with God.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is heartbreaking to comprehend, but when we realize God is not only using our current situation to get us back in line and wake us up from our spiritual slumber, but also to separate the wheat from the tare, we can see He is using this for our good.
He is purifying His Church. He is identifying Interceptors from Interceders. He is uncovering the darkness trying to hide in plain sight. He is once again overthrowing the Pharisaical spirit.

Every single thing God does or allows comes forth in order to work His perfect will.
“The LORD is righteous in all his ways, And holy in all his works.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭145:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I do believe this is a time when our faith is being tested.
“that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
‬‬
Are we going to believe God and move this mountain or are we going to believe the god of this world and watch the mountain move us?

“Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17:19-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Child of God, even though we be but a Remnant, everything we need to destroy what seems to be destroying us, has been given to us through the Holy Ghost of God.
We each must decide are we going to press in to our weapons of warfare...

“(for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Or
Are we going to continue to quench His Spirit because we cannot understand His power?

“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Church of the Living God has the Power and Authority through the Blood of Jesus and His Holy Spirit within us, to walk over this and tear it down!

“Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Can you imagine where we’d be if the first 12 disciples and first 70 evangelist had not exercised the Authority and Power Jesus extends to those He sends forth?

Well we don’t have to stretch our imagination too far, all we really need to do is look around at our world. This is what happens when we walk in submission to carnality and lay aside our Holy Ghost Authority. This is what happens when His Spirit is quenched year after year, decade after decade.
BUT

HIS REMNANT IS RISING!!

We have heard the alarm.
We have AWAKENED.
His watchman have climbed back upon the wall.
His warriors have donned His armor.

WE ARE READY
To seek God’s face.
To humbly repent.
To stand in the gap.
To continue sounding the alarm.
To fight the good fight of faith.
TO WIN!

We have already been given victory all we have to do is WALK IN IT by WALKING WITH OUR LORD. Laying down our ways and embracing His.

He will honor our obedience and He will hear our call, He will heed our cry, and He will saves us from all that threatens to destroy us.

“The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, To all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them. The LORD preserveth all them that love him: But all the wicked will he destroy. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.”

GOOD MORNING!!!
Is “our way” getting in the way of our victories, our breakthroughs, and our healings?

“Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a l***r.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The king of Syria had heard through an Israeli handmaiden, there was a prophet of God in Israel that could beseech God on Namaan’s behalf that he may be healed. Therefore, the king of Syria sent word to the king of Israel telling him Namaan would be coming to receive a healing. The king of Israel became frightened.

“And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? Wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

However, Elisha, the Prophet was not frightened and told the king to send Namaan to him and he did.

We see the stark contrast in faith over fear!

“So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Elisha gave Namaan clear instructions, but Namaan didn’t like what he heard, because Namaan thought he had a better idea.

“But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the l***r. Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How often are we like Namaan? We petition God to bring us out of a situation, to heal our bodies or our loved ones, to bless us in certain areas, etc ... Then we set out explaining to God how we think it should be done. Never considerin, if knowledge of how it should be done were accurate we’d not needed to petition God in the first place.

Namaan’s companions spoke candidly to him about his thought process....
(Who we surround ourselves with matters)

“And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Namaan listened.

When he decided to lay aside his thoughts and his assumptions of how things should be done and chose to do things God’s way....

EVERYTHING CHANGED

“Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is a reason God’s Word says,

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and

“let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There are many still wandering in the wilderness of the world, who have never surrender there lives to Christ. They have believed the lies of Satan who has convinced them right is wrong and wrong is right. He has even twisted truth to the point many professed Christians are feeding these lies because they too have given over to a false gospel of cheap grace that teaches salvation without repentance. This twisted version of the Gospel also teaches that God is too loving to send anyone to hell and that He is just fine with any sinful lifestyle we can dream up.
This is what happens when we follow those who have traded the truth for LIES LIES LIES!

The truth is .... God is so filled with love for us that He sent His ONLY begotten Son that if we accept by turning from our sinful self and turning to Him in faith, we are saved from hell, but if we don’t we have condemned ourselves to hell.

While studying, I found the following a wonderful explanation of the need for faith-filled repentance.
“Some people say that you can believe in Jesus as “Savior” but not as “Lord.” That is, you can believe in him but never repent of your sin. You can believe in him and be saved even if your life goes on just as it was before you became a Christian. Or so the claim goes. Some people even claim that if we say repentance is necessary for salvation we’re adding works to the gospel. They claim that if repentance is required then we’re no longer saved by God’s grace alone, but by what we do as well.

But what does the Scripture say?

Jesus says, “I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:32)
Jesus told his disciples to proclaim “repentance and forgiveness of sins” in his name to all the nations (Luke 24:47).
When the apostles preached in Acts, they called people to repent of their sins in order to be forgiven (See Acts 2:38, 3:19, 8:32, 17:30, 20:21, 26:20).
The apostle Paul makes it clear that those whose lives are characterized by sin “will not inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor. 6:9-10; see also Rom. 8:12-13, Gal. 5:21, Eph. 5:5).
According to the unanimous testimony of Scripture, repentance is absolutely necessary in order to be saved. Only those who turn from their sin, trust in Christ, and live lives that are characterized by righteousness will be saved on the last day.

But then is repentance a “work” we must perform in order to earn our salvation? Not at all! Repentance and faith are really two sides of the same coin. Repentance is turning from sin. Faith is turning to, trusting in, and relying on Christ. Repentance is not a “work” anymore than faith is: we simply renounce our sin and rely on Christ.” {taken from 9Marks}

Satan, who is the god of this world) is desperate to hide the Truth....
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If you are reading this and do not know Christ, or if you are a person who has been tricked into making God into an image of Who you want Him to be, it is my prayer that God causes the enemy to drop the blinders, that your eyes and hearts may be opened to the TRUTH...
God DOES NOT tolerate sin, but when we repent HE WILL absolutely FORGIVE our sin.

Today may we do as Namaan and lay aside our ideas of WHO God should be and HOW God should work, and TRUST His ways are far above ours and are perfect EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Had Namaan not been convinced to believe The Word of God sent through Elisha, he would have missed his healing.

May none of us miss what God has for our lives, because we refuse to put aside our misconstrued ideas of truth, which will NEVER lead to victory.

Jesus is waiting to lead us in All Truth for He is Truth. All we must do is ask.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
Matthew 7:7
