Rocky River Baptist Church

Rocky River Baptist Church A vibrant congregation serving in an informal, traditional setting. Some members also participate actively in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

The church is affiliated with the Sandy Creek Baptist Association, North Carolina Baptist Convention and Southern Baptist Convention. Rocky River follows the historic Christian faith, as expressed in the traditional confessions, and accepts the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message — while affirming the historic Baptist freedom of individual believers to interpret scripture according to their own conscience. We fully accept the historic Baptist principle that the Bible is our only creed.

Cole Daniel Murray graduated Cum Laude from NC State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Biology and a minor in Psychology. Mallory Jones is graduating from Jordan-Matthews High School, where she was an A/B Honor Roll student and a Varsity Cheerleader. She was a member of Beta Club, AVID, Student Council Executive Board Officer, and HOSA Executive Board Officer. Mallory won first place, for two years at HOSA Regionals and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. She participated in Questbridge Matriculate’s Program, Project Uplift, and Camp Med Chatham. She plans to attend UNC Chapel Hill as a Carolina Covenant Scholar to earn a degree in Nursing. Congratulations Mallory!

Grace Debnam is graduating Summa Cum Laude from Jordan-Matthews High School, where she was a member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, AVID, Link Crew, and Robotics. She was co-captain of the Robotics Team for two years, the only female robotics driver, and received the Excellence in Engineering Award. Grace participated in Basketball, Softball, and Track, including a second place finish in the State 4x800 Relay. Grace has been recognized as Jet of the Month, Scholar Athlete, A-Honor Roll Student, Junior Marshal, Governor’s School Attendee, and Top 10% of Chatham County’s 2026 Graduating Seniors. She plans to attend NC State University in Exploratory Studies with an interest in Audio Engineering. Congratulations Grace!
