 “On Monday, I had the opportunity to attend my first City Council meeting in Sikeston, Missouri after canvassing the immediate community and surrounding 3-mile radius of Bethel AME Church. Sister Rosemary Lemons, the Director of YPD at St. John AME Church in Kennett, Missouri and her two granddaughters Heavenly and Legacy joined me!
It was an honor to meet and engage with local leadership as we continue building relationships, listening to community concerns, and exploring ways to strengthen the city together.
