DO YOU HOLD A BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW ABOUT: PURPOSE IN LIFE, FAITH PRACTICES, FAMILY VALUES, MORALITY AND VIEWS OF GOD AND CREATION? WHAT IS A “PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD”?
Do you know that loving God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit because of what you have been taught that they have done for you and going to church regularly is knowledge, but this is not having a personal relationship! God will talk with us, we can talk to Him, and He will answer us! This is a wonderful revelation of how our “Personal Relationship” is designed to work!
I didn’t learn this until my mid-twenties and just like with people, the relationship gets even better over time. In scripture we learn that Jesus said, “my sheep know my voice and the voice of a stranger they will not follow”. I had always heard that only crazy people say God talked to them, before they did something horrible!
John 10 (AMPC) 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The watchman opens the door for this man, and THE SHEEP LISTEN TO HIS VOICE AND HEED IT; and HE CALLS HIS OWN SHEEP BY NAME and brings (leads) them out. 4 When he has brought his own sheep outside, he walks on before them, and the sheep follow him because THEY KNOW HIS VOICE. 5 THEY WILL NEVER [on any account] FOLLOW A STRANGER, BUT WILL RUN AWAY FROM HIM because they do not know the voice of strangers or recognize their call.
When you read the Bible, you learn how God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit think and talk. God is so good that sometimes he uses vocabulary that I don’t usually use, to make sure I know it is Him. He is loving, kind, and only wants the best for me. I have learned to follow the peace.
I’ve learned that if I hear a voice that is full of strife and not peace or trying to push me into a fast decision, it is not God. So, I cast down that imagination that is trying to exalt itself against the knowledge of God. We have to capture our thoughts and only allow God's thoughts to remain, because our thoughts become words and actions, if we dwell on them.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (AKJV) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Once you know how to hear Him, LET HIM SHOW YOU THE CORRECT WAY TO HAVE A BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW ON THESE TOPICS. Read your bible about these topics and be willing to renew your thoughts to think how He thinks. THIS WILL CAUSE YOUR LIFE TO BE MUCH BETTER AND FULL OF PEACE AND HOPE 😊
