The annual St. Vincent de Paul Walk For the Poor is on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The walk starts at approximately 10:00am at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (800 Taylor Drive, SV) and will proceed to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank (about a one mile walk) with shopping carts of donated food.

It's a way to show your solidarity with the poor in our community, a time to stand with and walk for them.

The St. Vincent de Paul Main Office (616 Bartow Dr., SV) accepts monetary donations during the hours that it operates (Monday through Friday from noon until 4pm unless otherwise announced). You can donate 24/7 by using the QRC displayed.

All funds stay local and are used to help our friends in need. Thank you always for your generous donations.

Have you heard about Sierra Vista Community Connect? It's a one-stop shop resource center open the 4th Tuesday of every month from 10am to 3pm at the Salvation Army Building (180 E. Wilcox Dr., SV). It offers a W-I-D-E variety of assistance to ANYONE in need including housing service, mental health treatment and service, domestic violence assistance, employment services, food resources, and re-entry help. There will be a community meal and necessities giveaway.

The SVdeP Thrift Store (220 Myer Dr., Sierra Vista, AZ) has specific hours for donation. These hours are in place to keep the staff from being overwhelmed by your many generous donations and to allow the flexibility to accommodate your life obligations. Please do not leave items at the thrift store outside of the donation days or hours.

The thrift store is open from Monday through Saturday. The only day that the thrift store is open and does NOT accept donations is THURSDAY.

Again, thanks again for your generous donations. If you have large items that you'd like to donate, call the store, (520) 458-0870, to coordinate for a pick up. Our team will take your items off your hands and pass them along to someone else.

Once again, thank you so much for your generosity!

The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive by the post office picked up between 6,000 and 8,000 (3 to 4 TONS!!!!) of food for the food bank. That amount doesn't include the food that was dropped off at the food bank and other locations before the actual food drive.

That food will help the food bank stay steady as the need changes. Every year, when school ends for the summer, the food bank has to feed more people as children stop getting breakfast and lunch at school. Your generosity makes the change easier as we continue to help our neighbors.

Great news about the peanut butter and jelly drive!

YOU generously donated 1,432 SETS of peanut butter and jelly to the food bank (a value of almost $6,000!).

Thank you very much for helping our food bank and working with the Alpha Phi Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority that hosted it.
