Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Sidney United Methodist Church will celebrate World Communion Sunday during our 10:15am worship on October 5th.

World Communion Sunday celebrates the unity and diversity of the universal Christian community. As we gather around the Lord’s table, we recognize our unity in Christ, joining with others worldwide in Holy Communion.

Embracing this commitment, United Methodists are dedicated to nurturing diverse leadership within the church by allocating funds for scholarships and leadership training for under-represented students. Contributions fund scholarships for U.S. and international students, as well as grants for global inclusion, diversity, equity, and access training.

Information about World Communion Sunday as well as special offering envelopes are available at the church to help you prepare for this special collection.

NEW BIBLE STUDY STARTING:
Have you ever wondered where sayings such as, "God won't give you more than you can handle" come from? Then this is the study for you!

Sidney UMC is offering a 5 session autumn Bible study, focusing on "Half Truths" by Adam Hamilton. (Although getting your own copy of the book is recommended, it is not required for participation.)

Both Zoom and In-Person options are available! Join whichever suits your schedule best. You can pick and choose each week as you wish or as your schedule requires. And you can attend one session or multiple sessions.
