With a very heavy heart, we share that the Lord has called our dear brother Larry home. Larry and his sweet wife, Sarah, are original members of MLM. He lit up every room he entered, and the journey will not be the same without his presence.

Larry was a loving gentleman with a huge heart. He cared deeply for others and at the same time, was also a powerful example of hard work and faithfulness. His absence will be felt greatly by his wife and family. Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with Sarah, the children, and the grandchildren.

Always in our hearts, until we meet again in glory.

With a very heavy heart, we share that the Lord has called His faithful servant Richard home. He was such a loving husband and devoted father, and his life reflected a deep love for both his family and the Lord. Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with Pam, Kristen and Colleen, and the entire family during this time.

His humble spirit, kind demenor and willing heart will be deeply missed by the entire MLM family.
Always in our hearts, until we meet again in glory!

God Doesn’t Rush Growth. He Roots You Before He Raises You.

In a world that prizes speed and instant results, it’s easy to feel impatient with our own growth. We want promotions, breakthroughs, spiritual advancement, or answers to prayers “yesterday.” But God’s timing isn’t rushed, but rather, He works in ways that are deliberate, intentional and deeply effective.

The principle is simple: God roots you before He raises you. Just like a tree that must develop strong roots before it can reach incredible heights, God strengthens your foundation before elevating you. Roots are unseen, often slow-growing, and sometimes face resistance. They push through hard soil, face darkness, yet these experiences anchor the tree against the fiercest of storms. In the same way, the trials, lessons, and seasons of waiting in our lives are not wasted but serve to fortifying us for growth.

When God roots you, He cultivates character, wisdom, and endurance. He teaches you humility, trust, and faithfulness. He aligns your heart with His purposes. And when the time is right, the “raising” happens (not by human effort) but by God’s divine timing and power. A person grounded in God can handle success without losing their focus, rise in leadership without pride, and step into destiny without falling.

So, if you feel stuck or behind, remember: growth is happening beneath the surface. God is nurturing your roots. Trust Him. Stay faithful. Keep pressing into Him. One day, when your roots are deep, you will rise upward, strong, stable, and ready for all He has prepared for you.

Reflection: Are you more focused on the rising or on the rooting? Perhaps God is calling you to embrace the season of preparation.

Spiritual Warfare: Fighting the Right Battle the Right Way

Spiritual warfare begins with understanding the nature of the fight. Scripture reminds us plainly: “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood” (Ephesians 6:12). Our struggles are not ultimately against people, personalities, or circumstances, but against spiritual forces that operate in unseen realms. When we misidentify the enemy, we fight the wrong battles and often hurt the wrong people.

We must fight spiritual battles on spiritual battlefields. Human intellect, clever arguments, and natural strategies are not enough to win supernatural conflicts. Paul declares, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal (fleshly) but mighty in God” (2 Corinthians 10:4). Victory does not come through human strength, but through spiritual dependence.

Prayer and fasting are foundational weapons in spiritual warfare. Prayer aligns us with God’s will and authority, while fasting disciplines our flesh and sharpens our spiritual sensitivity. Jesus Himself taught that some breakthroughs only come “by prayer and fasting” (Matthew 17:21). These practices do not manipulate God; they position us to hear Him more clearly and move in His power.

The Holy Spirit equips believers for spiritual battle by providing spiritual gifts, including wisdom, knowledge, and discernment. These gifts allow us to see beyond the surface and understand what is truly happening in the spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Revealer, the Helper, the Spirit of Truth, uncovering hidden schemes of the enemy and exposing truth that cannot be known through natural reasoning alone (John 16:13).

Spiritual warfare is not about fear, hype, or manipulation, but rather, it is about walking in obedience, authority, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. When we fight the right enemy, on the right battlefield, with the right weapons, we stand firm in Christ’s victory.

Do you recognize who your enemy is?

Are you prepared to fight?
