The 24th of Zul Hijjah marks the Urs Of Shehzade Abdulkerim (CM).

Şehzade Abdulkerim Efendi was the grandson of Sultan Abdülhamid II. He lived through the dark days of the Ummah, witnessing the fall of the Khilafat and the beginning of the Second Jahiliyya.

Despite living in exile after the sultanate was abolished, Şehzade Abdulkerim never abandoned his connection to the Osmanli way. He was visiting delegates to support the Ottomans but he was betrayed and assassinated while in New York City. He is buried in Queens, NY.

His dying wish was to see honor returned to the Ottomans. He carried in his heart the pain of watching his family's legacy destroyed, their rights stripped away, and the ummah left without a khalifa to be their shield. He prayed that the day would come when the flag of the Ottomans would rise again. Through his grandchildren and their connection to our sheykh, inshAllah his prayers will come true.

May the day come when the rights of the Ottomans are restored and the ummah is united under righteous leadership again.
May Allah sanctify his secret and raise his station, amin. Ruhuna Fatiha.

“Sheykh Effendi have said before: even if you know the secrets of all four books and a hundred suhuf, but you don’t know yourself, you’re still ignorant. So it has to come back to you. So being grateful doesn’t mean you have to have a stupid smile on your face all the time. And it’s not when everything is fine that you’re grateful. Anyone can do that. Anyone can be grateful when they have food in front of them, when they have everything that they want. It’s so easy. Try being grateful when you don’t have. Anyone can be happy when everything is great. Try to be happy when the situation is very sad. Try to be happy when you don’t have. That’s why the dergah, it is a place where you get polished.”-Sheykh Lokman Efendi Hz.

“So we have said it so many times, Sheykh Effendi is talking about that ship of Nuh. Get on it. Sheykh Effendi said this world is burning. Imagine that the ship is burning and sinking. When the ship is burning and sinking, it is not the time even to learn how to swim. You just hold on to something that is going to float, hold on. But when so many people are saying, “The ship is not burning. You are hallucinating. Look at the stars. Let’s do this and this,” either they are completely blind, and they will be punished heavily, or they are complicit. There are no two ways about it. Because even unbelievers are saying this whole ship is burning all the time. It is rotten. We are just waiting for things to pop.”-Sheykh Lokman Efendi Hz.
