“Rasulallah (AS) is the one with perfected essence and outward form- selected as the Beloved of the Maker of all humanity. Beyond a partner in his so beautiful qualities- yes, undivided in him is all of beauty itself. Leave aside what the Christians said about their Messenger- then give to him any praise you want, and praise him appropriately. Attribute to his person whatever you want of nobility. And attribute to his greatness whatever you want of immensity. Indeed, the perfection of Rasulallah (AS) has no frontier that could ever be reached by a human mouth…The universe is exhausted trying to understand his meaning. All of them, near or far, appear as if dumbstruck. He is like the sun- small to the eye when seen from afar, but dazzling to the sight when seen up close. And how can people asleep, dreaming, begin to grasp his true reality? The extent of our knowledge is that he is a man- but also, beyond that, that he is the Best of all of Allah’s Creation.” (Qasida Burdah, Chapter 3).
