Did you know that the Worcester Area Mission Society (WAMS) was created in 1829 to help migrants who were working on the Blackstone Canal. Over the years, WAMS turned to other mission work but returned to their roots in 2022-2023 when large groups of people fleeing war, violence, persecution and poverty arrived in central Massachusetts. WAMS works with the Director of the office of New Americans at Friendly House in Worcester and has become the collection, storage and distribution site for diapers, other baby products and a variety of other migrant family necessities.
Our Giving Opportunity for the month of June is personal hygiene products, to include individually wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc. Your continued willingness to support our monthly organizations and help those less fortunate than ourselves is deeply appreciated. Thank you.

MUSTARD SEED FOOD PANTRY
Did you know that the Mustard Seed at 93 Piedmont Street in Worcester serves dinner each weekday from 5pm to 6:30pm. It services the homeless and the food insecure population who would otherwise go hungry. First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury has prepared meatloaf dinners with pans of mashed potatoes and green been casserole with desserts on a rotating basis for decades. Our Church is very proud and appreciative of the volunteers who coordinate, shop, cook, deliver and sometimes serve the meals that are prepared. Our May Giving Opportunity is jars of peanut butter and boxes of cereal to help keep their food pantry stocked with esentials for the poor and homeless in Worcester.
Thank you, as always, for your support and generosity as we reach out to our community and beyond.
