The Worcester Area Mission Society's annual book drive provides a brand new book to 2nd and 3rd graders in central MA public schools in underprivileged areas. Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services, Inc. (SYFS)
FRIENDLY HOUSE
Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance

Did you know that these three organizations have a
central theme that is core to their mission? They are all
involved with making life a little easier for those who are in
need. They excel at strengthening youth and families by
building hope, restoring dignity and creating opportunities
that many families would otherwise never have access to.
Every child has a right to a great education and to have
the supplies that they need to get them off to a great start
at school.

Our Giving Opportunity for the month of August will be a
collection of school supplies in support of students in
need. Your donations of pens, pencils, notebooks,
backpacks, crayons, rulers, erasers, sharpeners, colored
pencils, etc., will be divided among these three
organizations. Your continued support of our monthly
Giving Opportunities is deeply appreciated and felt
throughout the community. Thank you.

WORCESTER COUNTY FOOD BANK
Did you know that Worcester County Food Bank is one of three Feeding America member foodbanks in Massachusetts? They are dedicated to engaging, educating and leading Worcester County, Massachusetts in creating a hunger-free community. They partner with food and fund donors, volunteers, and business and community leadersโ€”to provide donated food to neighbors who need it. Last year, Worcester County Food Bank and their network of 115 local pantries and community programs helped to distribute nearly 6.1 million pounds of donated food to 75,000 people from all 60 cities and towns in Worcester County.
The Giving Opportunity for July will be non-perishable food items which will be donated directly to Worcester County Food Bank for their distribution. The need is GREAT. Please donate what you can to help make life a little easier for our neighbors in need. THANK YOU.
