JESUS IN JANUARY- how can you live for Jesus right here in the now?

This month we are learning about what it means to fast and pray. There are so many examples in Scripture of how powerful times of fasting can be. God has shown over and over again that He uses those times to speak to us, to mold us, and to equip us.

Fasting isn’t just for adults, kids can fast and pray too. Don’t underestimate how much God can speak to kids.

We are encouraging our kids to give up something, and fill up on things of God in the month of January. We are praying for breakthrough and for God’s voice to be heard. Join us this Sunday @10:15 as we are teaching our kids about Daniel and his experiences with fasting (Daniel chapter 10).

We don’t babysit at Shrewsbury Assembly. We’re hosting the Holy Spirit back in our kids wing and discipling our kids every single Sunday morning.

We are so excited to announce that as a children’s ministry department, we will be attending Kids Breakaway 2023 - GO365!

Kids Breakaway is an overnight experience where children have the opportunity to worship live, hear messages from children’s directors and pastors in the district, connect with our leaders and other children, and experience the very presence of God.

This. Kids reading straight from Scripture is what we are all about.

To give you a little insight on what we do here at Shrewsbury Assembly during our kids service, we have a time of small groups where kids get to experience one on one time with our volunteers. We have a time of reading Scripture, reviewing the message, and a time of fun connection. This picture is from our sword drill station where kids find specific scripture verses that coincide with the message. Get your kids in the WORD!

Our 6th L.I.F.E. Night classroom highlight:

🏕RANGER KIDS🏕

Ranger Kids is our kindergarten through 2nd grade classroom for our boys! Our Ranger Kid teachers are Mr.Garrett, Mrs.Kristi, and Mr.Evan, three incredible leaders who are passionate about teaching our boys about God and His creation. Our Ranger Kids class is designed to provide every boy with opportunities for adventure and fun in the classroom and at home. These boys sure do get excited about wildlife and Jesus.

NERF AND NACHOS🔫🌮🥑!

Kids, come on out on November 18th for our Nerf and Nachos event! We are turning our sanctuary into a nerf battle zone and our Clubhouse room into a nacho zone.

Cost is only $5 per kid or $20 for a family. You can register at the welcome center tonight or Sunday, or pay at the door. We will see YOU on Friday, the 18th. Check out the trailer below!

11/29/22 - FALL FEST!

We had a blast last Saturday at our church-wide fall fest. We had funnel cakes, bounce houses, a petting zoo, a ninja course, a hayride, and a whole gym filled with carnival games! Thanks to all who served and came!

Girls Only is our 9th-12th grade classroom for our high schoolers! Our Girls Only teachers are Ms.Elysha and Mrs.Krista, two women who get excited to dive deep into topics and who are passionate about relating and understanding our young women. Right now, our girls are learning about being a women and serving Jesus and how we can boldly serve and share about our Savior. This classroom is a light and these smiles aren’t fake- these girls truly enjoy studying God’s Word.

Our 4th L.I.F.E. Night classroom highlight:

💜FRIENDS💜

Friends is our 6th - 8th grade classroom for our young women! Our Friends teachers are Mrs.Tracey and Mrs.Diane, two women who are passionate about discipling our teenagers so that they don’t sway and don’t give way. The young teenage years can be filled with the struggle between choosing God and choosing the world; this class focuses on peer pressure and how we can stand firm in our faith (1 Corinthians 16).

✨⭐️STARS⭐️✨

Stars is our 3rd - 5th grade classroom for our girls! Our Stars teachers are Mrs.Diana, Mrs.Corri, and Mrs.Debbie, three lovely women who feel called and are so equipped to teach our ALMOST teenagers. S.T.A.R.S stands for: Susanna, Tabitha, Anna, and Ruth! Their motto is “I Will Follow Jesus.” Right now, their focus is safety and being a Good Samaritan.
