Pentecost Sunday was such an awesome and joyous celebration of what God has assembled in this First Methodist family! If you did not have the opportunity to be there, we encourage you to check it out on our website.

This week, we continue talking about the Holy Spirit, and the symbols of the Holy Spirit that the Bible brings to us. We will be discussing the dove, and what the dove reveals to us about the character and workings of the Holy Spirit.

We hope you will join us as we worship the Lord together and as we grow in Him and as His family. We are praying for you and ask that you continue to pray for this church and for God's work to continue among us, in us, and through us.

Happy Mother's Day! We are grateful for the multitude of mothers that the Lord continues to surround us with. Through both our natural mothers and our spiritual mothers, God provides great gifts who are seeking Him and helping all of us seek Him, as well.

Along with celebrating our mothers this week, we will be continuing through Romans, examining Paul's message of salvation and how it relates to those who have not yet believed. Especially the people of Israel, but still applicable for us today. Paul reminds us that the works of the law do not bring us into righteousness, but rather it is faith in Jesus that does. Even today, we can still get tripped up by the simplicity of the gospel - a gospel that is for us all and for us to carry to all the world.

It is going to be a great day of celebration and worship of the Lord. Come on and join us, and may God prepare our hearts to be encountered by Him and to grow stronger as His Body and His Family. We are praying for you. Continue to pray for one another and for God's leadership and move within this church.
