The Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana

The Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana The Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana provides shelter, food, and other types of assistance.

Serving Northwest Louisiana since 1904, the Salvation Army is open 365 days a year, providing shelter for over 103 people per night. This includes women with children, Veterans, single women, single men and an additional 30 emergency cots for extreme weather. The Salvation Army provides help to over 90,000 people annually through its Senior Day Program, Disaster Response Services, Regular Financial assistance, and at Christmas we help spread the holiday cheer to over 2,000 children. The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club is located at 821 Greenwood Rd., and was founded in 1933. Its mission is to help children in need of hope and direction, and it has done so for thousands of youth over the years. Along with these assistance and support programs, the Salvation Army is a church and all of our programs flow from our mission to serve God by providing compassionate service to people.

Fear has a way of creeping in, in the waiting, the uncertainty, the unknown. But this verse reminds us that when we seek Him, He answers. He delivers. He meets us right where we are and sets us free from what holds us captive.

You don't have to carry your fears alone. Seek Him today, and trust that He hears you.

πŸ™ What fear do you need to hand over to God today?

Real love doesn't just look good; it IS good. It stands firmly against what's wrong and holds tightly to what's right, even when it's hard.

Genuine love isn't passive. It takes a stand.β™₯️

Let your love be real today.

The world tells us greatness means being served, having people cater to us, elevate us, and put us first. Jesus flipped that upside down! He chose to serve. He gave His life so we could be free.

That's the example we're called to follow, not chasing status, but choosing service.

Loving like Jesus isn't always easy. It means choosing patience over a reaction, choosing grace over a grudge, and choosing forgiveness over keeping score.

But that's exactly what we're called to: a love that goes deeper than surface-level kindness. A love that covers, forgives, and chooses to see people the way God sees them. So today, pray for the grace to love like Him. πŸ™πŸ’•
