Happy June, First Fam!
GOODWILL – Sunday, June 7, is Goodwill Dropoff, where our precious Step-up pr***en students will gather your clothing donations at the Motor Lobby door of the E&A Building, 9:30-10AM. If you miss this time slot, leave your donations by the E&A stairwell. We exchange your donations for Goodwill vouchers, which are then shared with people searching for household goods or clothing. We can only accept clothing and accessories.
MISSION MINDSET – Join us Wednesdays in June to hear our local and global partners share their personal callings to serve. They will speaking about the “why” of their work and how they live into the Great Commandment to love our God and neighbors. Very casual, 5:30-6:30PM - will be time well spent! Families welcome!

COMMON GROUND CAMPERS' FISHING TRIP – Common Ground’s summer campers will have their fishing trip June 25. FMC sponsors all fishing equipment, life jackets, etc. We need confident fishermen and women to come be buddies and help bait hooks and remove fish! We would love to have one-on-one helpers. Email Michelle at [email protected] if you’d like to join us. Will probably be 11-1ish. Private pond off Wallace Lake Road, just south of Flournoy Lucas.
BLOOD DRIVE – Please consider donating blood Sunday, June 14! Blood Drive will be in Storer Activity Room, 9:15AM-12:15PM. They have a fund tie dyed prize for donors! If you’ve been turned away before, please check again. Requirements change all the time! Registration is not necessary.
CUMBRE ALTA – Our global missions team is supporting the Cumbre Alta soccer camps hosted by our Ecuadorian partners in Bossier. Can you help with welcome basket supplies or lunches? UPDATES – Random ways we have recently served our neighbors through our amazing partnerships:
*Sponsored the Goldman Schools’ Reading is Fundamental events
*Hosted the Common Ground Chargers’ end of school lock-in
*Purchased several bus tickets for homeless people to return to families
*Arranged daycare for a mom in McKinney Vento case management as she returns to the workforce
*Assistance for local fire victim
*Booked several hotel rooms for people awaiting permanent housing through our partners
