Isaiah 41:10 - “Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.”

It’s easy to feel as though our life is out of control at times. Everything is going wrong, one bad break or dead end after another. None of it makes sense. But we have to realize that it’s not happening by accident. The enemy didn’t somehow wrestle the controls of your life away from God, and now He’s standing by hoping things work out for you. God has you firmly in the palm of His hand. He’s promised that nothing can sn**ch you away. Him being for you is more than the world being against you. The way to stay in faith is to recognize it’s all a part of God’s plan, which He promises to work out. Don’t waste your time trying to figure everything out and living frustrated over disappointments or what’s not happening. Try a new approach. It’s very freeing when you can say, “God, I don’t understand it, but I trust You. I know You’re working all things for my good, so I’m going to stay in peace, knowing that You will get me to where I’m supposed to be.”

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You that what so often looks like trouble is really Your hand moving me toward Your plan. Thank You that I can rest assured that You are working behind the scenes and orchestrating my steps. Help me to walk by faith and stay in peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Colossians 3:23 - And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.

It’s not always the big things that are keeping us from God’s best; it’s the small things. If we aren’t showing respect and honoring our boss or coworker by doing a small thing that’s important to them, that small thing will keep you from your greatness. You can’t be harsh, contentious, and hard to get along with and reach your potential. Sometimes it involves things we don’t feel like doing, even something that doesn’t seem fair. At work, you’re not getting credit or someone is not treating you right. Why should you be kind to them, keep a good attitude, and go the extra mile? God is saying, “Will you do it as unto Me? Will you keep your mouth closed for Me? Will you be kind to that undeserving person for Me? Will you be your best at work for Me?” Do it as unto God. He’s the One who matters. Promotion doesn’t come from people; it comes from Him. When you do the right thing when it’s hard, when you consistently have a good attitude, you’re passing the test. God rewards faithful people who keep doing the right thing.

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You for calling me to be a person of excellence in everything I do, to go the second mile and always be my best. I want being my best to flow out of my heart of love for You. I believe that as I give it my all, I will see Your goodness and favor in my life in new ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Acts 16:30–31 - Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”

In Acts 16, Paul and Silas had been arrested for sharing their faith in the city of Philippi, then beaten with rods and put in prison with chains around their feet. It was unfair, disappointing, and looked like a setback to their ministry. But at midnight, as they were singing and praising God, a great earthquake shook the prison, their chains fell off, and they were given the opportunity to lead the jailer and his household to salvation. We may not like times of difficulty and shaking, but as with Paul, they are going to shift you to fulfill your destiny. They are not going to stop you. There’s going to be a shift in your finances, in your career, in your health, in your marriage. Out of the shaking, new doors are going to open, new opportunities, and new relationships. Chains of depression, chains of lack and struggle, chains of addiction that have held you back are about to be unfastened. Don’t complain about the shaking. It’s serving a purpose. God is using it to thrust you where you couldn’t go without it.

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You that You, the all-powerful Creator of the universe, are with me, just as You were with Paul and Silas. In the difficult times, when I don’t know how a situation is going to turn out, help me to offer You a sacrifice of praise. I believe You will work out Your plan for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Exodus 14:13 - Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.”

Two million Israelites who had escaped slavery in Egypt were trapped by Pharaoh and his army at the Red Sea. When they began to panic and cry out to Moses for a battle plan, Moses’ reply was for them to stand still and watch God fight for them. In those moments, the angel of the Lord, who had been leading the Israelites, and the pillar of cloud moved to a position behind them, cutting them off from Pharaoh. After the Israelites passed through the sea on dry land, Pharaoh’s entire army tried to follow but drowned. It’s easy to get frustrated with difficulties and try to straighten people out, to force a door to open, to defend yourself against what was said. But that’s when you have to hold your peace, remain at rest, and let God fight that battle. Sometimes the best strategy is to do nothing. Leave it alone. It can also be the hardest strategy, but you have to stand still to see the salvation of the Lord. If you’ll not take matters into your hands, you’ll see God do things that you could never do.

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You that You have power over what I cannot control. When I face problems that seem overwhelming, help me learn to stand still, hold my peace, and remain at rest. I am believing that You will fight my battles and get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Psalm 114:3 - The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away.

When Moses held up his rod at the Red Sea, God pushed back the waters with a strong east wind, and it parted. Two million Israelites walked through this dry path, with walls of water on each side. The hand of God supernaturally made a way. Fast forward forty years to when Joshua sent the priests into the Jordan River with the promise that God would cut off the waters. I’m sure he was expecting a supernatural wind to instantly push the water back. Instead, there was no wind, the water kept flowing, nothing changed visibly. But just because God did it one way doesn’t mean He’s going to do it that way every time. The miracle took place, but it happened upstream where they couldn’t see it. It was no less a miracle. Eventually the waters receded, and the people passed through on dry ground. It’s easy to have faith when you can see and feel the answer. Real faith is when you don’t see anything happening, but you thank God that He’s working upstream. Stand in faith. It’s already on the way.

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You that the obstacles that look insurmountable in my life are no problem for You. Thank You that You are about to hurry them out of my way, whether I see the miracle right away or have to wait in faith. Either way, I believe the answer is on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

John 10:10 - “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

When you face unfair difficulties, the enemy will not just try to hinder your destiny, he’ll try to steal your identity. He’ll try to deceive you into letting your environment—how people treat you, disappointments, delays—dictate who you are. If they cause you to see yourself as limited, not valuable, unworthy, that will keep you from your purpose. He’s not after your possessions; he’s after your identity. If he can control how you see yourself, he’ll limit your future. When you’re in a negative environment, don’t let the environment get in you. You’re not defined by your environment. Sometimes God leads us into difficulties, allowing bad breaks or people to do us wrong. You know that God has a great dream for your life, but how you see yourself will determine whether you stay in the difficulty or come out better. Don’t take on a victim mentality and let it change your identity. God is going to use it to move you into greater levels of your destiny. You are a victor, an overcomer, more than a conqueror. You can do all things through Christ.

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You that when the enemy comes trying to steal my identity with doubts and fears, I can resist him, firm in the faith. Thank You that he does not have any power over me or who I am. I declare that I will not be intimidated into backing down, and I will overcome the lies. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Psalm 91:1, 4 - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty….He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.

Sometimes it feels like we’re surrounded by trouble, surrounded by evil, surrounded by sickness. A lot may be happening on the outside, things that could have you upset, worried, or afraid, but you can’t let that get inside. What you may not realize is there’s something else surrounding you, a secret place where you can rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Your job is to stay in that secret place, to stay close to God, to keep Him first place in your life. The secret place is a place of peace, a place of trust. In that secret place, there’s a calmness, a rest. You know the Most High God is watching after you. You know you’re covered under His wings, that He has you hidden in a safe place. When you’re in that secret place, for calamity to get to you, it has to first go through Him. When the enemy comes after you, he has to first deal with the Lord Almighty. As long as you’re in the secret place, you have no reason to worry about what might happen.

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You that there is a secret place in my heart where You dwell and where I can abide in peace. Help me guard against all the negative things that try to get in. I’m going to stay close to You, covered with Your feathers, under Your wings, and abiding in peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Luke 22:42 - “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

As Jesus was in great distress and faced the coming agony of the cross, He prayed three times that the Father would remove the cup of suffering. It’s okay to ask God to take away something that’s overwhelming and seems too much to bear, but you need to add the “nevertheless.” “God, if it doesn’t happen my way, I’m not going to complain, live bitter, or give up on my dreams. I’m going to stand strong, endure, knowing that this suffering season is leading to a resurrection, to a new level of my destiny.” God wouldn’t have you in the difficulty if He didn’t have something amazing in front of you. There are levels of favor and blessing you can only see by going through a season of suffering. The pathway through is designed by God to launch you to the power of the resurrection, to favor that you’ve never imagined. But you have to pass the test. This is the time to say, “God, I may not like it, but I trust You. I know that You’re taking me through to a breakthrough.”

Prayer For Today;
“Father, thank You that You are worthy of my unconditional trust. There are things in my life that I don’t understand, overwhelming things I want You to remove, but even if that never happens, I’m still going to trust You. I gladly leave these matters in Your hands. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Romans 8:31 - What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

Imagine being taken from your home in Jerusalem and having lived as a Jewish exile in Babylon for many years, then hearing that God was saying, “Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you” (Zechariah 9:12). God’s call for these captives was to return to Jerusalem and He would restore double to them. You can imagine the battle taking place in their mind. “Look at the hardships we’ve been through and what we’re up against if we return. There’s no way we could be that blessed and free.” You had to decide if you would stay stuck in defeat or believe that God was about to pay you back double for all the unfair things that had happened. You may have had a lot of troubles, disappointments, and people who did you wrong. The enemy meant it to stop your purpose, but God is saying He’s turning it to your advantage, that you’re going to come out with twice than what you had before. Get ready for double the resources, double the influence, double the favor.

Prayer For Today:
“Father, thank You that You are on the throne and You are working in even the greatest difficulties I have. Thank You that You call upon me to be a prisoner of hope, not of doubt or fear or defeat. I believe that You are turning my difficulties to my advantage and bringing me out with double. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
