"What is a new blessing in your life?" This Shavuot, Rabbi Joshua Stanton explores the meaning of the "harvest" in our modern lives. It’s found in the fruits of our learning, the bridges we build, and the ways we inspire each other. As we receive the Torah anew, we find the "multitudes of good" that strengthen our global Jewish family.

Thank you to everyone who attended the 43rd Annual Holocaust Remembrance Service of Northwest Louisiana to honor the memory of the victims and survivors of the Holocaust.

A special thank you to Chair Laura Crawford and to John-Henry Crawford for sharing their family's story of escape, and to John-Henry Crawford, Dr. Gay Grosz, the Centenary College Choir led by Dr. David Hobson, Ruth Drummond, and Megan Savage for their deeply touching musical performances that added such emotion and reflection to the event.

In addition to the eleven candles lit to commemorate eleven million lives lost, a twelfth candle was added to represent all the victims of senseless hate and violence in our world today, including the eight children murdered in Shreveport that morning.

Student winners in this year's Literary and Art Project were recognized, with thanks to their teachers, schools, and the judges.

We are grateful to many community members who joined us to commemorate this important event, and to First Methodist Church and the Texas Street Arts Series.

And of course, our deepest gratitude to the survivors and their families—your strength, courage, and presence continue to inspire us all. May we never forget.

Chag Purim Sameach! Purim is here, and with it we step into the story of Queen Esther, a reminder that courage and hope shine brightly. Costumes come out, graggers get loud, hamantaschen fill the table.

Sunday we leaned into the fun at the annual community Purim carnival, with party-goers ranging in age from a few weeks to 80s, coming from all over northwest Louisiana, as well as from the east (Jackson Parish), the south (Natchitoches), and the west (Texas)!

Wishing everyone a day filled with joy, celebration, and plenty of hamantaschen.
