The Church of the Holy Cross has served the community of downtown Shreveport since the parish was founded in 1954 in the old building for St. Mark’s. We have a range of ministries focusing on our neighbors experiencing homelessness, the elderly, the poor, the sick, the friendless and the stranger.
We endeavor to serve God and our neighbors through worship, prayer and service to anyone who asks for our help. We believe that in serving others we show the world the power of Jesus Christ.
If you’re looking for a church home, or if you’re interested in finding out more about Jesus Christ or our social witness, please contact us or come to one of our services.
As a parish in the Episcopal Church, we extend a warm welcome to those who have perhaps been turned away from other churches. This includes LGBTQ people, people with doubts, people with fears, people who’ve been hurt by religion in the past, and anyone else seeking a loving, affirming community in which they can grow to be their fullest selves.
We want you to know that God loves you, no matter what! And we want you to help us show the love of God in our community.
