🛠️ HAPPY LABOR DAY! 🙏🏾

Today, we honor the hands that work, the hearts that serve, and the people who faithfully labor each day to provide for their families, strengthen our communities, and serve others.

Scripture reminds us that there is purpose in our work:

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — Colossians 3:23 KJV

But even God established a rhythm of work and rest. So today, may we be grateful for the ability to labor and equally grateful for the opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with those we love.

May God bless the work of your hands, renew your strength, and give you rest. ❤️

LAST NIGHT WE PUT OUR MOTIVES ON THE TABLE. 👀🔥

Proverbs 18:16 tells us:

“A man’s gift maketh room for him…”

But here’s the question we wrestled with:

WHAT IS MOTIVATING YOU TO ENTER THE ROOM?

There is extrinsic motivation - the external rewards associated with what we do:

Income. Recognition. Opportunity. Influence. Promotion. Status.

Then there is intrinsic motivation - the internal satisfaction associated with the activity itself:

Curiosity. Mastery. Meaning. Growth. Contribution. Enjoyment.

The satisfaction of solving something that matters.

Healthy development requires us to understand both.

The problem comes when external validation becomes the only fuel for internal movement.

We are developing individuals and families who don’t merely ask:

“How do I become successful?”

We’re learning to ask:

“What has been placed in me, and who becomes better when I faithfully use it?”

That’s Kingdom. 🔥

Last night was one of those sessions that stretches the way you think about both Scripture and yourself.

For years we’ve read Paul’s words:

“I think myself happy, king Agrippa…” (Acts 26:2)

Last night we slowed down long enough to appreciate what was happening.

Paul wasn’t denying his circumstances. He wasn’t pretending everything was perfect.

He was intentionally directing his thoughts.

Because he was thinking, his brain was active. His nervous system was active. His body was responding exactly as God designed it to.

We explored dopamine, not as a mystical shortcut or a “happy chemical,” but as one of the remarkable neurotransmitters God created to help us with motivation, expectancy, learning, pursuing meaningful goals, and recognizing progress.

Your brain is part of your Body Temple, and how you repeatedly think can influence how you engage with the opportunities and responsibilities in front of you.

When intentional thinking meets intentional living, transformation begins to move from theory into practice.

We’re not just studying Scripture.

We’re learning how to steward the incredible minds and bodies God entrusted to us so we can live with greater purpose, serve others more faithfully, and flourish in every area of life.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: GREEN OAKS STUDENT EARNS 1ST PLACE IN STATE WEB DESIGN COMPETITION AND MORE

Congratulations to Dennis Walpool, Jr., a senior at Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy, on his outstanding achievements. Dennis earned first place in a state web design competition, advancing to the national level where he placed eighth in the nation.

He was also accepted into the National Performers Academy after a successful audition, further showcasing his talent and dedication to the arts. In addition, Dennis has demonstrated exceptional creativity as a filmmaker and editor, producing three films for Film Prize Junior and acting in one of them.

Beyond his work in film, Dennis is also a photographer who has built experience capturing portraits and special events, further expanding his skills in visual storytelling and creative media.

Most recently, he was accepted into the prestigious Film Prize Junior Summer Intensive Camp, earning a spot among more than 2,500 applicants. Dennis continues to represent Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy with excellence through his achievements in technology, performing arts, filmmaking, and photography, and we celebrate his remarkable accomplishments and bright future.

Tonight was a powerful reminder that vision alone is not enough. It takes structure, accountability, and ex*****on to transform vision into impact.

As we gathered for our Apostle’s Leadership Institute, we explored what it means to measure, monitor, and manage performance as we scale for excellence. We examined how Paul received the vision, but it was a committed team operating in Apostolic Order that helped bring the assignment to life.

The Kingdom Center Shreveport/Bossier is entering a new season. With major developments taking shape across the I-49 corridor, new investments entering our region, and opportunities emerging throughout our community, our leaders are preparing now for where Shreveport is going, not simply where it has been.

The future belongs to organizations that can steward growth with wisdom, data, discipline, and purpose.

Tonight wasn’t just leadership training.

It was preparation for regional impact.

The vision is clear. The assignment is active. The leaders are getting ready.
