Christ UMC is excited to present "From Gethsemane to Crucifixion: A Tenebrae Drama" on Holy Thursday, April 2 beginning at 6 PM in the Christ UMC Sanctuary. Told through the eyes of Daniel, the Cross Maker, the story unfolds through scripture readings presented by people who were witnesses of that day, hymns, anthems, and prayers. Everyone is invited to join us for this special evening. You must have a ticket to attend, but the tickets are free through the Christ UMC church office or from our members. You can call the church office or come by Monday through Thursday from 9 to 2. We hope you can join us for this special and meaningful service.

Christ UMC will be offering Ashes to Go from 11 AM to 1 PM on Ash Wednesday, February 18. Those who cannot attend our Ash Wednesday 5:00 PM service can drive to the church and receive the imposition of ashes and a blessing. Our Ash Wednesday worship service will begin at 5:00 PM that evening in our sanctuary. However you choose to observe Ash Wednesday, we welcome you to Christ UMC!

Our Neighborhood Fall Celebration was moved into our gym due to the weather forecast of rain. As it turned out, the rain stopped in time for people to come out and have some fun! The Shreveport Metropolitan Band was amazing as usual and so was our Joyful Noise Choir with their gospel songs! We appreciate the Caddo Parish Sheriff, Shreveport Fire Department, and Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation of Louisiana for coming out to join us.
