💔 Watching the world break in slow motion... 💔

Violence increasing. Justice disappearing. Systems paralyzed. And God seems silent.

Sound familiar? That's where Habakkuk started. But here's what he learned: God's presence matters more than God's explanations. 🙏

You're not alone in the struggle.

"How long, Lord?"

Habakkuk asked it. Our ancestors asked it. Maybe you're asking it right now.

When God feels silent, what do you do? Drop a 🙏 if you've ever felt this way.

Tomorrow we start a 5-day journey through Habakkuk—for everyone who's ever wondered why heaven seems quiet when life gets loud.

💪 FAITH FOR GROWNUPS 💪

This isn't for everybody. Mature faith means:

Asking hard questions
Wrestling with disappointment
Standing your post with doubts
Trusting WITHOUT all the answers
You can struggle WITH God without leaving God. That's grown-up faith. 🙌

❌ Doubting God = questioning His existence ✅ Struggling WITH God = wrestling while staying

Habakkuk never LEFT God—he ARGUED with God. You can question God without QUITTING God. 💯

Faith isn't pretending everything makes sense. It's staying when it doesn't.

🎭 STOP PERFORMING. START WORSHIPING.

"God is not impressed by religious choreography. A full sanctuary does not automatically mean divine approval."

This word from Amos 5 will shake you: It's possible to have a full church of empty witnesses.

The lights, the smoke machines, the polished service—none of it matters if our worship doesn't produce righteousness in how we live.

God isn't looking for a show. He's looking for transformed hearts that transform communities.

💯 THE REAL QUESTION ISN'T "DID YOU ENJOY CHURCH?"

It's this:

Did your worship produce righteousness?
Did your faith create justice?
Did your praise become compassion?
"If the most church you do is inside this building, you're short this week."

Worship that never leaves the sanctuary is incomplete. Worship that never affects how we treat people is incomplete. Worship that never reaches the community is incomplete.

Morning Star Women Attend American Heart Association Go Red Luncheon

Members of Morning Star Baptist Church were honored to attend the Northwest Louisiana Go Red for Women Luncheon hosted by the American Heart Association on June 11, 2026. The event brought together women from across the region to promote heart health awareness, education, and advocacy.

Representing Morning Star were members of the Nurses Guild, the Women’s Council, and other church members who proudly accepted the invitation to participate in this important community event. Dressed in red to show their support for heart disease awareness, the ladies enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship while learning more about the importance of maintaining healthy hearts and encouraging others to do the same.

Morning Star Baptist Church takes great pride in partnering with the American Heart Association and supporting initiatives that improve the health and well-being of our community. Through education, awareness, and service, we remain committed to helping individuals make informed choices about their health.

We sincerely thank the American Heart Association for including us in this meaningful event and for the work they continue to do in the fight against heart disease and stroke. We look forward to strengthening our partnership in the coming year and participating in future heart health initiatives, including Heart Month activities and community outreach programs.

Together, we can continue to raise awareness, encourage healthy lifestyles, and make a positive difference in the lives of women and families throughout Northwest Louisiana. ❤️

“A healthy heart is one of God’s greatest gifts. By caring for our hearts, we are better equipped to serve our families, our church, and our community.”

🌊 "LET JUSTICE ROLL DOWN LIKE WATERS" - Amos 5:24

God isn't asking for isolated acts of kindness. God is calling for a CULTURE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Not charity when it's convenient—but justice rolling like a river that never stops flowing.

A community where: ✅ People are treated with dignity EVERY day ✅ The vulnerable are ALWAYS protected
✅ Worship transforms not just what we sound like, but HOW WE LIVE

Justice isn't accessory to faith. Justice IS evidence of faith.
