"Tell your children... and let your children tell their children." - Joel 1:3

Your story matters. Your testimony is treasure. Your faith is inheritance.

Don't let the next generation inherit comfort without truth. Pass down the memory of God's faithfulness! đź’Ş

Legacy has never been limited to wealth. đź’Ž

Many of our ancestors didn't leave money, but they left a wealth of values. They had no bank accounts, but they left stories. They left faith. They left wisdom. They left examples that still guide us today.

The prophet Joel commanded: "Tell your children, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation." (Joel 1:3)

That's FOUR generations in one scripture. Why? Because memory becomes identity, and identity becomes strength when all else fails.

đź“– Tell them:

What God did
How you survived
Where God brought you from
The battles you fought that others don't know about
The prayers that were answered AND the doors God closed
Your testimony is a treasure. Your story is your strength. Don't let it die with you.

🗣️ This week: Share your testimony with someone younger.

You're hungry? Your children are hungry too. 🍔

A father can't celebrate his comfort while his children inherit crisis.

Real fathers think BEYOND their lifetime. They ask: What about the grandchildren? What world are we leaving for those not yet born?

It's time to invest generationally! đź’Ż

King David's greatest work was one he'd never see completed. 🏗️

God told David he couldn't build the temple—his son Solomon would do it. Many of us would have quit right there. But David did something remarkable: he spent his final years gathering gold, silver, stone, and timber. He prepared everything his son would need to succeed.

David understood: "I may not finish it, but I can prepare it."

Black history is filled with David-like fathers. Men who picked cotton so children could pick colleges. Men who worked factories so children could work professions. Men who drove trucks through the night so children could dream during the day.

Every degree earned, every barrier broken, every dream fulfilled stands on somebody else's sacrifice.

Someone prepared what they'd never see. Someone invested in days they'd never reach.

đź’Ş Today: Honor the Davids in your life. Be a David for someone else.

David gathered stones for a temple he would never see. 🏗️

He knew another name would get the credit. He knew another generation would finish the work. But he prepared the way anyway.

That's what real fatherhood looks like—investing in a future you may never witness.

What are YOU preparing for the next generation?

Legacy isn't just about money. 💰❌

Many ancestors left no bank accounts but left a WEALTH of values.

No property—but PURPOSE. No riches—but RESILIENCE. No inheritance—but IDENTITY.

Don't just pass down possessions. Pass down CONVICTION. Pass down FAITH. Pass down the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. 🙌

What will you leave behind? 🌱

On this Father's Day reflection, we're challenged by the story of King Hezekiah—a great king who made one critical mistake: he only thought about his own lifetime. "At least there will be peace in MY days," he said, unconcerned about the future facing his children.

True fatherhood—true Kingdom living—means planting trees whose shade you'll never enjoy. It means laying foundations for buildings you'll never enter. It means investing in futures you may never witness.

The question isn't whether you'll leave something behind. The question is WHAT will you leave?

Are you thinking generationally, or just about your own comfort?

đź’ Reflect today: What am I preparing for the next generation?

There's a battle happening—and it's over MEMORY. ⚔️

Across our nation, there are efforts to erase stories, sanitize struggle, and minimize sacrifice.

But when a people lose their story, they lose themselves.

The Church must become a guardian of memory. We MUST tell the story! đź“–

What will you leave behind? Pastor Theron Jackson delivers a powerful Father's Day message contrasting two kings—Hezekiah, who squandered his second chance by thinking only of his own lifetime, and David, who spent his final years gathering resources for a temple he'd never see completed.
