The success of this weekend's JIA 50 YR Reunion events is absolutely the result of a fantastic team!
Shout out to:
Tim-Teresa Thames - for not only opening their home and generous hospitality as we held our planning meetings, but for Tim's handling so much of the "hard stuff" - ie. finances, moving heavy things, etc,; taking care of the catering for supper and for always so willingly and graciously doing anything I asked of him in such a timely and efficient way - and ALWAYS with such a kind and sweet spirit! So dependable!! You are a ROCKSTAR, Tim! Thank you for helping to keep me sane!
Trish Hayes - was instrumental in getting gift cards and prizes for our event, for making sure we had yummy lunch, desserts and for all the "Martha" duties she took on! Trish - you amaze me with your quiet strength and beautiful, sweet spirit! Thank you for being there and taking so much of those duties on! I pray that your strength is renewed like an eagles and that all you invested in making this weekend special be multiplied in abundance back to you!
Karen L Thomason for your beautiful decorating skills! Your giftedness shone in the creativity and beauty at our event! It was a blessing to all - but especially me, as I knew when I asked, I could just step back and let you go! You met the challenges and put in so much hard work in the midst of the great heartache you are going through. May God's presence sweetly envelope and embrace you as you traverse this time of grief. May He richly reward you for your faithfulness and hard work!
Doyce Randle - thank you for tolerating all the trips I had to make back and forth to Shreveport. For funding all my trips and more of this weekend than you know😉! Thank you for all the heavy lifting before, during and after the event! Thank you for stepping in on the bass! Your musical gift is amongst some of the finest I've ever witnessed! Thank you for your patience with my crazy and loving me in spite of it!!
Cindy Simpson - what can I say, my friend?! Your musical giftedness is such a blessing! You pulled together a team that had not played together in over 40 years (some never played together) and in a few short practices brought the night's entertainment together. Thank you for participating in the "memory forum" - for all your ideas and creativity during our planning and for the fun music trivia game!!
Lorna O'Neal Jacobs - gurhlll!!! Thank you so much for taking on the registration table! I know you did it mostly by yourself and you were AWESOME!! It was a blessing to all of us, and freed us up to handle the other things that needed our attention! I treasure you and our decades long friendship!
Laci Bredahl - thank you for all you did to help us get our technology handled; for your helping to keep your dad "straight" 😂😂😂; for your patience and cooperation as we navigated the evening; for being our liaison with the church and for laughing with me as we shared our frustrations of the evening. It has been my joy to get to know you better during this adventure!! I can sure see both your mom and your dad - and most importantly, the Father - in you!
Lisa Carter Powell - thank you for making us all laugh with the story of your raccoon! 🤣 You broke the tension during the high-tension frantic days! Thank you for ensuring we had beverages with our meal! Thank you for your adorable self! You kept me laughing.....even if that was not your intention! LOL
James Davison - thank you for making that long, exhausting trip to bring your excellent musical giftings to share with Yahweh and the rest of us! It was good to see you and I hope that you were able to enjoy some good fellowship with your family and were able to reconnect with good friends.
Carole Hardin - thank you for being a part and sharing your sweet voice with Yahweh and us once again! You blessed us all with your voice, but more importantly with seeing you and fellowshipping with you once again! I hope it's not another 30 years before I see you again!
Keith Fentress - thank you for representing CC JIAs with your memories and what you shared. Thank you for making the flight to come see us all. I pray you had an awesome time with your family! I enjoyed getting to know you a little better at dinner Friday night!
Cheryl Grayson - lady! I wish I could have let you speak all night!! You brought the house down! Thank you for so eloquently expressing what we all felt and wanted to say! It delights me that more people were able to witness the anointing on your life! May that just continue to grow! I treasure our lifetime friendship -and I treasure you!!
To all of you - thank you, thank you, thank you!! There was far too much bragging on me yesterday - but I KNOW that it was a fantastic team that brought it all together. I, in no way, could have accomplished alone what we accomplished together. I love how it all comes together when each person operates in their giftings with love and without competition!
