Feelings get loud fast.
One minute you’re okay, the next your mind is spiraling at 2 a.m.: “This won’t work. You’re stuck.” “Nothing will change.” We start agreeing with it because they feel real. But feelings are real — they’re just not in charge. They are information, not authority.
Paul begged God to remove his thorn. God said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NLT).
Paul had a choice: let the struggle tell the story, or hand God the mic. He chose the exchange. He didn’t deny the weakness. He refused to let it define him.
That changes everything — from “This will never change” to “God is doing something here.” Your feelings are loud, but they don’t get the final word. God does! So when fear tries to finish the sentence, hand the pen back to Him. “Lord, You tell this story.”
Truth: A feeling isn’t a life sentence. It’s an invitation to let God narrate the story.
