Cantor Beth Reinstein explores the connections between the festival of Shavuot through the lens of the Shofarot liturgy from Rosh Hashanah. Tying together song and spoken word, Cantor Reinstein invokes the call of the shofar to ask us what Torah we need to hear as we celebrate Divine revelation for Shavuot. Our Kindergarten adventurers had a wonderful day exploring the forests of Watchung Reservation! With the help of knowledgeable naturalists, we discovered the fascinating “mini beasts” that make their homes on the forest floor. The children loved observing nature up close and learning how even the smallest creatures are important to the ecosystem. We also explored the museum, enjoyed an engaging show about nocturnal forest animals, and shared a beautiful outdoor picnic together. It was a day full of curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning!
