St. Robert of Newminster, located on the east end of Capitol Drive in Shorewood, WI, is a special place - not because of what we have, our beautiful church and other blessing

s, but who we are now and who we are becoming. For its members, St. Robert is a spiritual home where, as a community of believers, we celebrate the Eucharist and become Christ to one another. We share prayer and support one another through prayer. We offer lifelong faith formation and respond to the needs that arise in our parish family. And, we work together to build a just society in collaboration with the global Church, our brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ. Parish History:

St. Robert of Newminster Parish was incorporated in 1912. The first Mass was celebrated in a small wooden building hastily constructed on the south side of Mineral Spring Rd. on July 6, 1913. A permanent church/school building was erected by October, 1913, and the wooden church was razed. St. Robert School was opened in September, 1915, with four grades on the second floor of the church/school building. From 1915 until 2002, it was staffed by Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. The church/school building was added to in 1927, and again in 1958. In 1937, the current St. Robert Church, a Milwaukee County Landmark and outstanding example of Lombardy Romanesque architecture, was erected, at which time the church space in the school became school space. Msgr. Farrel P. Reilly was the founding pastor and served until his death in 1958. There have been six succeeding pastors: Rev. Gerald E. McGinnity, Msgr. Frank M. Schneider, Msgr. Harold O. Prudell, Rev. Richard J. Cerpich, Rev. John J. Pulice, and Rev. Dennis A. Dirkx, Rev. Raymond Guthrie, and Rev. Enrique Hernandez. https://www.strobert.org/about-st-robert-parish/

Dear Fair volunteers and guests,

With hearts full of gratitude, thank you for making the 2026 St. Robert Fair such a tremendous success.

This year’s fair was especially meaningful as we celebrated on the Feast of St. Robert and experienced God’s abundant blessings throughout the weekend. From the laughter of children and fellowship among friends to the countless volunteer hours that made everything possible, the spirit of our parish community was evident everywhere.

One of the greatest blessings was the opportunity to publicly share our faith through the beautiful Corpus Christi Procession and Benediction. Seeing our parish family gathered in prayer and devotion was a powerful reminder that the fair is about much more than food, games, and entertainment—it is a celebration of the faith and community that unite us.

None of this would have been possible without your generosity and sacrifice. Whether you staffed a game, served food, worked in the cantina, helped with setup or cleanup, coordinated volunteers, supported rummage sales, or stepped in wherever needed, your time, talents, and enthusiasm made a lasting impact.

What stood out most was the spirit of service and unity that defined the weekend. People stepped forward when help was needed, supported one another, and worked together with joy and purpose. Because of you, we were able to share the mission of St. Robert with Shorewood and the surrounding community.

Thank you for helping create a weekend that strengthened friendships, celebrated our faith, and brought our community closer together.

As we begin planning for next year, we welcome any feedback you may have as we look for ways to continue improving the experience for everyone. Please email your feedback or willingness to take on a role to: [email protected]. May God bless you and your families for your generosity and service.

With gratitude,
Fr. Enrique & 2026 St. Robert Fair Chairs - Kevin Casper, Cory Wycklendt, Scott Waggoner, Lizzy Brunner, Catherine Troncone
