Do what you can do, God will do the rest! This month we were able to bless a wonderful elderly couple, that holds such a special place in our county’s heart with a wheelchair ramp. This made it easier for EMS to transport when needed and also improved the quality of this couple’s life and most importantly gave them a new beginning! Thanks to our team for volunteering and Bro. Johnny Speck for heading up and taking lead on this project. God is good and We give Him all the glory!

After Jesus finished His forty day fast in the wilderness, He came out full of power anointed to start His earthly ministry. On the Sabbath day, He stood up and was handed a scroll to read from the book of Isaiah making His debut, He proclaimed:

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me

To bring good news to the afflicted;

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to captives

And freedom to prisoners;

To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn, To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes,

The oil of gladness instead of mourning,

The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.

So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

He took the earth for His kingdom in a violent and forceful manner by immediately healing the sick, delivering the possessed, raising the dead all for the Glory of the Father.

THIS is why He said no to satan in the desert when he offered Jesus the world if he agreed to worship him.

Satan had already been defeated.

Jesus already had a plan, to stomp his head off and win.

He continues to win.

THAT is My JESUS!

When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed. But when someone stronger than he attacks him and overpowers him, he takes away from him all his armor on which he had relied and distributes his plunder...

We are told in Ephesians 6 to put on the armor of God. To put up a defense in the spirit and stand against evil. When you guard your own home, your possessions are undisturbed. However, we all sin and fall short of the glory of God daily and because of that and the corrupted world we live in, it’s a good idea to clean your home of anything that offends God so that you have peace. Here is an easy way to spiritually clean your home. You have authority in Christ to command evil to leave especially over your own household and home! So go ahead, do some spiritual house cleaning!

The atmosphere was filled with desire and hunger at last nights worship!

There is such a desire and hunger to eat of His goodness and Word in us! Many go on fasts around this time which cleanses the mind and heart and opens our eyes to see more clearly, and our ears to hear God’s voice better!
In doing so let’s pull up a seat at His Table and Eat of His Words. Join us on our next worship night on February 6 @ 4:00 @

Acorn Church of God is Celebrating 100 years!
In the coming days, we are so excited to share our journey through the century as we have researched the history of our church, it's founders, and have many special stories to tell from it's establishment to what we are currently doing. Don't forget to follow us so you can share our special celebration!

With a new year comes new things! We are Acorn Outreach Ministries!
The outreach ministry of Acorn Church of God! This year we will focus more on being Jesus’ hands and feet outside the four walls of the church. Not forsaking assembly, once a month, we will have An Evening of Worship at the church where we will start at 4:00 pm on a Sunday and go into deep praise and worship. If you enjoy getting together and worshipping with others come on out, it’s not limited to our church members.
We welcome everyone as most churches do not have evening service, this is your chance to come worship and fellowship. Check out Acorn Church of God’s event page for date and times. We will also post them here as well.

Our Directors are Neil and Tashia Creech.
The Outreach board also consists of Johnny and Heather Speck and Lee Thomas.
Sister Sue Taylor is overseer of Acorn Church of God.
Along with a team of faithful volunteers and children of God, we have been called to continue the legacy of this very special church and celebrate it’s 100th year of serving the Acorn Community!

Follow our pages as we go on a journey to share the history of where we have come from and where we are going in the days ahead!
