Today's Message: GOD IS ABLE TO GUARD WHAT I HAVE ENTRUSTED TO HIM (II Timothy 1:8-14)

*Reject shame

1.) God's work: Salvation & Sanctification v. 8-9
"He has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace."

2.) God's grace: Set in place v. 9-10
"This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,"

3.) God's commission: Service v. 11
"of this gospel I was appointed a herald (messenger) and an apostle and a teacher."

4.) God's protection: Security v. 12
"I know Whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day."

5.) God's charge: Stewardship v. 13-14
"What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you - guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us."

This Sunday, we are continuing our series, WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE, as we focus on Scriptures that tell us "God is able..."

It might surprise you to learn that the Bible tells us with clarity, God is able to increase our generosity! What an encouraging truth.

The Lord is able to make His followers stand

Romans 14:4 - Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

Resulting in…

A Shared Inheritance
and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Faithful Integrity
33 I coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel.

Diligent Industry
34 You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my necessities and to those who were with me. 35a In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak

Benevolent Insight
