PRAYER UPDATE FROM SHARON WHITTAKER…. When a friend just asked me about the latest news for John and Nancy, I realized I hadn’t sent an update lately. Yesterday was a banner day as John and Nancy were able to go to church. John hadn’t been for four months and Nancy only a couple of times when I was there and he was still in the hospital. He had a GP appointment last week and that doctor wants another swallow test soon, which could indicate if the feeding tube can now be pulled. John is down to only one meal in the tube and is eating three sort of regular meals daily. They still have caregivers 8 to 4 during the day and 8 to 8 at night but tried on their own last weekend. Another example of baby steps, but at least in the right direction. I wish I could be up there again with them, but I am afraid to try to drive the distance myself and I have an eye doctor appointment Thursday and will have to make some decision about cataract surgery. I am a little leery of it because it would be on my only one good eye. Thanks everyone for keeping us in your prayers for this long journey and I hope you can continue a little longer.
