Like most things in life, we can use social media for good or bad. While we cannot change others, we can change who and how we interact. You can love and care about someone without choosing to see their daily rant about anyone and anything they don't understand or with which they disagree. It's important to manage what you see on social media and what you expose others to. Remember, God is always with you, and yes, He sees what you share on social media.
Before posting or sharing something on social media, I strongly encourage you consider the following:
Is this true? - You might have to do some research. (Proverbs 12:22)
Is it helpful? - If it's true, will it benefit others? (2 Thessalonians 3:13)
Is it inspiring? - How will this affect others? (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Is it necessary? - Is this important? Does it need to be shared? (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
Is it kind? - Remember, we are called to speak the truth and do so in love (Ephesians 4:15)
If your sentiment (or share) does not meet these criteria, it might be best to delay the post, perhaps indefinitely. (2 Peter 1:5-6)
Life is short. Time is precious. Social media should not be a source of strife. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, always. God bless.
