The gospel teaches us to think rightly about our sin and rightly about our Savior.

We have all gone astray, but the Lord laid our iniquity on Christ. Repentance confesses what God says about our sin and believes what God says about our forgiveness.

In Christ, our sins have been put away.

What we try to cover, God will uncover.

But when the Spirit of God convicts us of sin, we do not have to hide, excuse, or argue. We can agree with God, confess our sin, and come into the light.

It is there that we find good news: the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. He is faithful and just to forgive.

Christ covers what we uncover before Him.
