Encouraging Word: God Wants to See You Smile

I just want to share this from a real place in my walk with God.

As I’ve been growing closer to Him and learning the true posture of prayer, I’ve been experiencing something that I can’t ignore… God really does hear you, and He really does answer.

And not just in the things you ask for, but in ways you didn’t even pray about.

This week alone, I’ve seen God move in my life in unexpected ways. Not because I asked for it, but because He is that kind of Father. He sees. He cares. And yes… He wants to see you smile.

This is why we cannot stay at surface level. This walk with God is deeper than that.

It reminds me of when the man was brought to Jesus by his friends. The place was so crowded that they couldn’t even get through the door. But instead of giving up, they went another way. They climbed up on the roof, broke it open, and lowered him down to Jesus.

(Healing of the Paralytic lowered through the roof, Mark 2:1–12)

They did not let the crowd stop them.
They did not let the obstacle stop them.
They made a way to get to Jesus.

And when Jesus saw their faith, He responded.

That’s the kind of faith God is calling us to have.

A faith that does not stop when things get hard.
A faith that does not turn around when there are obstacles.
A faith that says, “No matter what it looks like, I’m getting to Jesus.”

Because the truth is, God already sees everything you’re dealing with. Whether it’s personal, emotional, financial, or physical… He knows.

And He’s not pushing you away. He’s calling you closer.

Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).

Stay in His presence. Keep praying. Keep pressing. Keep going deeper.

Because when you do, you’ll begin to experience God in ways that are undeniable… peace in the middle of chaos, joy in the middle of uncertainty, and blessings that come without you even asking.

God wants to see you smile.
And He knows exactly how to do it.

Encouraging Word: No More Surface Faith

There comes a point in your walk with God where you realize this cannot be surface anymore.

Not surface prayers.
Not surface reading.
Not surface belief.

Because life will test what you really believe.

When the report says it is over
When the situation does not change
When people start preparing for the worst

That is when the real question comes up:

Do I truly know God, or have I just heard about Him?

The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). That means faith is not built by emotion alone. Faith is built when we stay in God’s Word, meditate on it, and begin to understand His character (Joshua 1:8).

The woman with the issue of blood did not move on surface faith (Mark 5:25–34). She heard about Jesus. She believed what she heard. And she moved based on who she knew Him to be.

She did not let twelve years of suffering stop her.
She did not let the doctors’ reports stop her.
She did not let the crowd stop her.

She made a decision within herself: If I can just touch His clothes, I shall be made whole (Mark 5:28).

And when she reached Him, power flowed from Jesus, and she was healed (Mark 5:30–34).

Hezekiah did the same thing. He received a report that he would die, but instead of accepting that report as final, he turned his face to the wall and prayed unto the Lord (2 Kings 20:1–6). He did not panic. He did not give up. He went to God from a place of relationship, and God responded.

This is why it is so important for us to know God beyond the surface.

Jesus said that those who believe in Him would do the works that He did also (John 14:12). But the key is that the power does not come from us. The power comes from God. We must stay connected to the Source.

Jesus also told us to abide in Him (John 15:4–5). When we abide in Him, stay in His presence, remain in His Word, and continue in prayer, our faith becomes rooted instead of shallow.

This is where many people struggle. It is not always that they do not believe at all. Sometimes it is that their faith has not yet been built through deep fellowship with God. Sometimes we know scripture on the surface, but we have not yet sat with God long enough for that Word to become rooted in our hearts.

That is why the Lord told Joshua to meditate on the Word day and night (Joshua 1:8). That is why Jesus taught men ought always to pray and not faint (Luke 18:1). That is why Jesus told us to ask, seek, and knock (Matthew 7:7). Persistence matters because persistence keeps us in His presence. Persistence keeps us hearing His voice. Persistence keeps us from giving up.

Surface faith says, This is how it is going to end.

But rooted faith says, I know who my God is.

That kind of faith does not come from one emotional moment. That kind of faith comes from being with Him day and night. It comes from seeking Him, trusting Him, meditating on His Word, and learning His character over time.

When you know who God is, it changes how you respond to reports. It changes how you respond to sickness. It changes how you respond to family trouble, financial trouble, and disappointment. You may still feel the weight of the situation, but you do not respond from despair. You respond from relationship.

And that is the decision I have made.

No more surface prayers.
No more surface study.
No more surface time with God.

I want to know Him for real.

Not just for what He can do, but because I belong to Him (John 1:12). Because I am His child. Because He loves me (Jeremiah 31:3). Because He already had purpose for me before I was formed in my mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5).

I refuse to stay at the surface when there is more of Him to know.

Encouraging Word: Built on the Rock

This morning, God ministered to me through (Matthew 7:24–27).

The storms came to both houses.
The rain fell. The winds blew. The floods rose.

But the difference was the foundation.

The house built on the rock stood firm.
The house built on the sand fell.

And what blessed me is understanding that the rock is unmovable.

It does not shift.
It does not change with pressure.
It does not bend with the storm.

That is how God’s Word is.

His Word is strong.
His Word is sure.
His Word stands.

So this morning, I made a decision:

I am building my house on the rock.

Not on my emotions.
Not on what I see.
Not on fear or uncertainty.

I am building on what God said.

There will be storms.
There will be seasons we don’t understand.

But when your life is built on the Word of God, you will not be moved.

Because His Word will not return void.
What He said, it will perform.

So today, I encourage you:

Build your life on what cannot be shaken.

Build your faith, your family, your marriage, your finances, your health on the rock.

Because when everything else shifts, you will still be standing.

I am standing on the rock.
I will not be moved.

Encouraging Word: When God Speaks in Unexpected Moments

It’s amazing how God will use something so simple, like a message on a restaurant board, to speak directly to your life.

I was at Dairy Queen on Free Cone Day, and I noticed a scripture on their board. It was Isaiah 41:14. It caught my attention, but I didn’t fully read it right then.

Then this morning, I kept hearing in my spirit to go back and read that scripture.

So I did, and I didn’t just read one verse. I read Isaiah 41:1 through 15 to understand it fully.

And what stood out to me so clearly is this:

God is sovereign.
He is in control of everything, no matter what it looks like.

And then this right here:

“For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
Isaiah 41:13

That’s not just words. That is a promise from God.

So whatever you’re facing, whatever feels uncertain, whatever you don’t understand,

God is holding your hand.

I encourage you to read Isaiah 41:1 through 15 and allow God to speak to your heart for yourself.

Because sometimes God will use the simplest moments to give you a word that speaks to your whole life.

Encouraging Word: Wrapped in Wisdom

This week I am truly enjoying being a student. God is trusting me to do this project, and I trust Him wholeheartedly. All I can do is remain obedient and allow God to guide me. I am learning to be confident in what God is doing, even within this project, and to allow Him to stretch me in ways I never thought would be possible.

Honestly, God is stretching me in ways I never even imagined I would do. But I am grateful for the stretch because I know that when God stretches us, He is preparing us for something greater.

As I continue being a student, I want to encourage people to hear God’s Word. Do not ignore wisdom. Do not ignore when God is pulling on you, calling your name, and drawing you away from the ways of the world and the ways of sin. When God pulls us away from those things, it is because He loves us and wants to keep us from a place of destruction.

We never want to be in a place where we ignore wisdom, laugh at His instruction, or reject His correction. Because if we continually ignore wisdom, we could eventually find ourselves in a moment when things become difficult and we desperately need God, yet we remember the times when we refused to listen.

Today while reading Proverbs 1:33 in the Amplified version, something really stood out to me. The verse says,

“But whoever listens to me (Wisdom) will live securely and in confident trust and will be at ease, without fear or dread of evil.”

That verse brought me so much comfort. God’s Word alone is security. No man, no woman, no job, no money, and no possession can give us the security that God gives us. His wisdom alone is our security.

When I read that verse, it led me straight into prayer.

Lord, let me not ignore Your wisdom. Wrap me in Your wisdom. Wrap my family in Your wisdom. Let wisdom surround every area of my life. Let it surround my finances, my marriage, my health, and every decision that I make. Let my ears always remain open so that I can clearly hear wisdom throughout the day. Cover me with Your wisdom, Father, in the mighty name of Jesus.

I thank God for His Word because through Solomon, the son of David, God gives us an understanding of who He is as our Heavenly Father. Because of His wisdom, we do not have to walk around in distress, anxiety, or fear. Instead, we can walk in confidence, security, and peace.

I want to encourage everyone who reads this message to continue asking God for wisdom. Allow His wisdom to wrap around you. Do not fall into the ways of the world. Let God lead you.

Let wisdom guide your day every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every month, and every year. When wisdom is your guide, you are protected. There is comfort. There is security. There is unconditional love.

I thank God for this word today, and I pray that it encourages someone.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
