Holy Name Parish

Holy Name Parish A Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Denver, entrusted to the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae. A great family for the new evangelization!

Holy Name Catholic Parish was founded in 1895 in Sheridan, CO. Since then, a long story of efforts to honor the Holy Name of Jesus has been written by faithful parishioners and priests. Today Holy Name is a beautiful parish, where the familiar environment, the commitment of the parishioners, the liturgical reverence and participation, and the apostolic initiatives are some of the characteristics of this welcoming community of faith.

"I have sought Him whom I love with all my heart." - Response spoken by the novice at her simple (first) profession, the day when a Poor Clare novice truly becomes the Bride of Christ as she professes simple vows of obedience, poverty, chastity and enclosure. Our beloved Sister Maria Antonia of the Holy Wounds of Jesus (formerly Brianna Farens) took her first vows as a Poor Clare in Roswell, NM on November 1. Please continue to pray for Sister Maria Antonia and know that she is keeping our parish in her prayers as well! Her family and friends created a video to publicly share their experience of this sacred moment.
