Join us tomorrow, Sunday, September 6, for a Church Cookout following our morning service at Sheridan First Assembly of God!

We’ll fire up the grills and provide the hamburgers and hot dogs. If you’re able, we’d love for you to bring something to share:

🥤 Drinks

We’ll set up outside on the church lawn, enjoy some good food, and spend time together as a church family.

Come to church, stay for lunch, and enjoy the fellowship! And if you’re new to First Assembly, this is a great Sunday to join us and get to know some people.

When We Disagree: Walking in Peace in a Divisive World
Philippians 4:1–7 | August 30, 2026

We live in a divisive world. Politics, culture, generations, opinions—and even churches—can become divided. But Scripture shows us a better way.

In Philippians 4, Paul addresses a disagreement between two faithful women, Euodia and Syntyche. Rather than choosing sides, Paul points them back to what matters most: their shared life in Jesus Christ.

In this message, Pastor Rich Cullen walks through three biblical responses when we disagree:

1. REMEMBER WHAT UNITES US.
Before focusing on what separates us, remember who we belong to. Our unity is found “in the Lord.”

2. RESPOND IN A WAY THAT UNITES US.
Rejoice in God's grace. Choose gentleness. Remember the Lord is near. Refuse to let fear rule the relationship. Pray with thanksgiving.

3. REST IN THE PEACE THAT UNITES US.
We don't have to understand everything, fix everything, or win every argument. We can trust God and allow His peace to guard our hearts and minds.

We don't have to agree on everything to walk together in peace. When Jesus is greater than our differences, we can disagree without becoming divided.

Join Us This Sunday!

What do we do when we disagree? In a world that seems determined to divide us, Scripture shows us another way—a way of grace, gentleness, prayer, and peace.

This Sunday, Pastor Rich is back… which means the coffee AND donuts are back too! 😂☕🍩 Come early at 10 AM, grab some coffee, and connect with some great people. Worship begins at 10:15 AM.

We’re a Pentecostal church where we make room for the Holy Spirit to move, and we’re a grace church where we want people to know they can be fully known and fully loved.

👶 Nursery & Children’s Church are available, and all of our staff and volunteers who work with children have been background checked.
