The Book of Revelation is a prophecy of God's earthly people, the Jews. The greatest Jew was Jesus. So this book is about Him.

What are we called to do? We are called to preach the gospel to all of humankind. What is the gospel? It is the realized kingdom of God on earth. That is our salvation from sin to a holy life. Explain more; what else? The idea is that God raised up Jesus to sit on Israel's promised kingdom throne at the time of His resurrection and ascension 2,000 years ago. As a result of that enthronement, the messianic kingdom came on the first Christian Pentecost through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Preaching the gospel is telling people everywhere to repent of their sins and be filled with the Holy Spirit. I see. Can that happen to me? Yes, of course. You can now experience a remarkable change in direction in life by obeying this truth found in Acts 2:38. Deliverance from evil and the abiding of God's Spirit within us make all the difference.
