A Thursday Message from our Pastor. God Is With Us!
We face many trials as human beings and they bring a lot of fear into our hearts.
Sometimes we don't know what to do, and the only place we can turn is to our heavenly Father.
God knows that in this world we will face many trials but throughout His Word, God has given us encouragement and comfort.
One of the Bible verses that God uses to comfort us is, Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
It's normal to feel alone when all that’s around you is falling apart and you see no hope of the end coming soon. With God, you can face any trial and overcome it because He gives you His power and strength.
He knows that trials can easily crush and destroy you if He does not intervene. Rest in the hope that God sees your situation and will help you.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Resurrection Sunday services yesterday. We hope to see you again soon. Please bring a friend!

It was this time, last year, that St. John’s welcomed Pastor Jeffery Berry to the pulpit, to help lead in the Resurrection/Easter Sunday services, when the doors initially reopened. Three months later, he was unanimously voted in, to lead the flock, moving forward!
“..true greatness comes through servanthood, not authority.” (Mark 10:43-45).
Pastor Berry is indeed a servant of the Lord and his community.

In times of such great uncertainty and sorrow, is it a comfort to not only, be able to fellowship with one another, but also to put faith in and support, the shepherd God has placed before us to lead.

Next week, Sunday, April 12, services will be held at St. John at 11am and then we invite you to join us at Saint Luke Baptist Church, in Berryville, Va, at 3pm to celebrate the members that make up our Usherboard.
