Texas Pagoda Chan Monastery is pleased to invite you to the 2026 Chung Tai Spring Pilgrimage Trip to Taiwan, taking place from April 5-15, 2026. This significant occasion marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of our Founding Abbot, Grand Master Wei Chueh. A ceremony will be held at Chung Tai Chan Monastery, followed by the "Light of Wisdom" Transmission of the Lamp Grand Ceremony on April 8th, 2026. The trip will include guided tours to Kaoshiong, Taitung, and Hualien after the ceremony.

The breathtaking view of the lake at Chung Tai Chan Monastery offers a serene escape.

After enduring the biting cold, a flock of migratory birds from the north rests calmly on ChongTai Lake, exemplifying unity, communal harmony, and the joy of sharing a peaceful sanctuary.

Venerable Shifu Jian Gong courageously pets an alligator(Dharma Dragon) which was lying peacefully at the lake's shore.

"May all sentient beings,
form together a great assembly, one and all in harmony"

Making a Lamp Offering to the Buddha is a way to honor the Buddha while awakening our own intrinsic wisdom.
According to the scriptures, when making a Buddha lamp offering, we gain good health, purity of the mind, freedom from worries, and extinction of ignorance. We can also dedicate the merits to our loved ones and all humanity.
For the New Year, we invite you to make a Buddha Lamp Offering for a period of one year (January 1 to December 31).
