Being a community does not mean that we always agree. Jesus instead calls us into relationship: to listen, speak honestly, seek reconciliation, and continue the work of loving one another.

This Sunday, we gather again around Word and Table, trusting that Christ is present among us and that the Spirit continues to shape us through our relationships with one another.

What has God given you?

Sometimes we think we don't have enough to offer. Other times, we convince ourselves that everything depends upon us.

Paul offers another way: “We, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.” : Romans 12:5

This Sunday we'll reflect on what it means to be part of the Body of Christ, where no one person has to be everything, but everyone has something to offer.

Welcome this Sunday!

After an inspiring week at Bexley Seabury in Chicago, I've been reflecting on how Jesus' vision of the Kingdom of God continues to shape the life of the Church today.

The Kingdom doesn't always start with grand plans : it grows through small acts of faith, deep relationships, and hearts willing to listen for where God is already at work.

This Sunday, we'll explore the parables of the mustard seed, the yeast, and the hidden treasure : and how God invites each of us to recognize the gifts already present within our community.

Together, we can participate in God's work of hope, healing, and transformation.

What if welcoming another person is one of the ways we welcome Christ?

In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus reminds us that even simple acts of hospitality matter. As we conclude our June reflections on stewardship and mission, we will consider how kindness, generosity, and welcome become ways of sharing God's love. Sometimes the most powerful acts of faith are also the simplest.

Join us as we discover Christ in one another.

"A disciple is not above the teacher."

This Sunday we reflect on humility in mission. Jeremiah's struggles and Jesus' words remind us that following Christ is not about being in charge or having all the answers. Mission begins with listening, learning, and recognizing that God is already at work in the lives of those around us. How might humility help us become better neighbors, better witnesses, and a more faithful expression of Christ's love in the world?

Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 academic year at the Iona School for Ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia. Iona is also launching a new Lay Ministry Certificate Track designed to equip lay leaders for collaborative ministry in their congregations.

There are two upcoming informational Zoom meetings:

Tuesday, June 23, 11:30 am -12:30 pm on Zoom
Thursday, June 25, 4:00 – 5:00 pm on Zoom

This track may be especially helpful for:

People currently in positions of lay leadership who would like to deepen their theological education or sense of Episcopal Identity

Members of Total Common Ministry (TCM) congregations discerning a call as a lay member of a Circle or other leadership team

Folks discerning a possible call to ordained ministry (i.e. folks participating in discernment conversations at the parish level, in Exploring Vocations, or in Diocesan Discernment).
