Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 academic year at the Iona School for Ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia. Iona is also launching a new Lay Ministry Certificate Track designed to equip lay leaders for collaborative ministry in their congregations.

There are two upcoming informational Zoom meetings:

Thursday, June 25, 4:00 – 5:00 pm on Zoom

This track may be especially helpful for:

People currently in positions of lay leadership who would like to deepen their theological education or sense of Episcopal Identity

Members of Total Common Ministry (TCM) congregations discerning a call as a lay member of a Circle or other leadership team

Folks discerning a possible call to ordained ministry (i.e. folks participating in discernment conversations at the parish level, in Exploring Vocations, or in Diocesan Discernment).

This Sunday, we’re starting our new June series: Called, Welcomed, and Sent. 🕊️✨

Sometimes God calls us before we have all the answers. Just like Abraham leaving the familiar or Matthew leaving his booth, we’re invited to trust the journey: one faithful step at a time.

As we continue our Faith X journey of discernment, we’re reflecting on stewardship in its truest sense: using our time, talents, and lives to be a blessing to our neighbors.

Join us Sunday at 10:30 AM as we listen for where Christ is leading St. David’s next! 👣❤️

A pastoral letter from Bishop LaBelle

Bishop Phil LaBelle issued a pastoral letter concerning Trinity Sunday and our call to be in relationship with others particularly in light of the recent policy decision on Green Card applicants and its impact on our communities. This letter was read in congregations this morning, and is available here:

Join us tomorrow at 10:30 AM for Pentecost Sunday! 🔥✨

Our sermon topic is 'One Spirit, Many Gifts.' We’ll be celebrating the 'Birthday' of the Church and reflecting on how the Holy Spirit moves through our diverse gifts to bring us together as one.

❤️ Wear RED! Whether you're joining us in person or online, wearing red is a joyful visual reminder of the fiery flames of the Holy Spirit and our shared history. We will also be renewing our Baptismal Vows during the service.

See you there, Shelton! 🕊️

Our hearts are with the Islamic Center of San Diego, the victims and families impacted by today's horrific act of violence, and Muslims everywhere as they prepare to celebrate Eid al-Adha later this month.

Muslims, like all Americans, deserve the religious freedom to worship and practice their faith safely.

Anti-Muslim rhetoric and violence is on the rise across the United States. It's on all of us to push back against any and all hate against the Muslim members of our communities.

At St. David Episcopal Church in Shelton, we proudly support and affirm our LGBTQ+ neighbors and community members.

We believe every person is created with dignity, beloved by God, and worthy of safety, respect, and belonging.

As followers of Jesus, we are called toward mercy, compassion, humility, peacemaking, and love of neighbor. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus consistently moved toward those who were marginalized, excluded, or pushed aside. That calling still matters today.

Supporting Pride is not about diminishing the beliefs or values of others. It is about recognizing the humanity of our neighbors and choosing welcome over fear, compassion over division, and love over rejection.

At St. David, all are welcome. All are valued. All are loved. StDavidShelton
