A lot of people have come to us and are asking about Freedom Baptist Church.
We have stepped back and have taken a few months to process and are still healing.
With our deepest sadness it has come time to close the chapter on our journey at Freedom Baptist Church.
We fought to the very end to keep the building.
Thank you for all of the prayers and donations through the fight, it still was not enough.
It was very clear to us that nothing we did would ever be enough to keep the building.
Sadly, financially we were just not able to rent out a different space.
We will always hold onto the precious memories and friends we made while on this chapter of our journey.
We are forever humbled and grateful for the children, families and people that God brought in our path.
I know in my deepest heart that our time at Freedom Baptist Church was not in vain.
Our children learned so much while ministering with us.
God allowed our family to love on many people and point them to him.
We are humbled to of been the bridge to get many foster children back to their families.
This is where we were able to give them a firm foundation and show them what Jesus has done for them.
This has been our burden and our passion for many years.
We were able to be apart of many peoples life’s the most precious ones was Duane and his momma.
They were such an encouragement to this family.
Duane is now with his Lord and savior.
Pastor Randy Balcom does not require a whole lot of recognition .
He is a behind the scenes kind of guy and you may not always know what he is thinking.
He is the guy that will go above and beyond for people in a quiet way, not want or need to be noticed.
He tends to get walked on because he does not always express his feelings because he avoids confrontation.
In a crowd, he would be the last person to talk because he would sit back and wait his turn.
When he does speak up it’s always worth hearing.
He is a man of God and is very level headed and knowledgeable.
He is very methodical, slow and steady.
He does not pass judgment and is very good at giving council.
I want to make it public that his heart is called to preach unlike others may think.
His heart has been very broken through all of this.
He lost his father 2 weeks before we were told we had to get out of the building.
Losing his identity, passion and his dad all in the same month has been very devastating to him.
However he still keeps going and always helps others.
God has given us all different talents and unique ways to reach people.
Some are bold, loud, pushy and are able to reach many for a moment.
Others are softer quite slower and may reach a few for longer.
There is not one way to get the gospel out, God sees the value of one.
We will always hold onto the precious memories God allowed our family to make while at Freedom Baptist church.
We have grown and have learned so much.
We are forever humble and grateful that God gave our family this opportunity on our journey.
