Welcome to all of our new followers!
We are so glad you are here. 💙

The name Capernaum Care comes from the ancient city of Capernaum, known as Jesus’ home base during much of His ministry. It was a place where He returned for community, teaching, and rest. The name Capernaum means “village of comfort,” and that thought is woven into everything we do.

At Capernaum Care, our desire is to offer hope, healing, and support through counseling and care through a biblical lens. We believe people are not meant to walk through struggles alone, and we are honored to come alongside individuals, couples, and families with compassion and Christ-centered care.

To our current followers — thank you. Thank you for sharing posts, encouraging others, and helping this page grow so more people can find hope and healing. Your support helps us reach those who may be hurting and searching for comfort, encouragement, and truth.

We are grateful you are here. 🤍

God is already at work in the relationships you’re praying about.

That truth shifts everything. You are not trying to convince God to show up, He is already present in the conversations, the distance, the healing, and even the waiting.
Our role is not to force outcomes, but to respond faithfully to where He is leading us next.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19

Ask yourself today: what new thing might God be doing in my relationships that I haven’t noticed yet? 🤍

Capernaum Care uses PREP curriculum to provide evidence-based and empirically supported relationship education.

❤️ Relationship education matters because healthy relationships don’t happen by accident. They are built through intentional skills, support, practice, and community. ❤️

“Faith doesn’t grow in comfort. Faith grows in testing.”
Lucas DeVries

God is already at work around you…
Even in that awkward relationship.
Even the family group text.
Even at school or on the job.

Sometimes God’s work shows up in the exact places we’d rather avoid—but that’s often where growth starts.

What if the struggle in your relationship isn’t the end of the story, but the place God is working?

In Experiencing God, we’re reminded that God is always at work around us, inviting us to join Him. That changes how we see the people closest to us. Instead of focusing only on what’s broken, we begin to ask where God is already moving—even in the tension. Relationships are often the very place where God grows us, heals us, and teaches us to love in deeper ways.

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” — Philippians 2:13

Take a moment today: ask God to show you where He is working in one relationship in your life. 🤍

One of the hardest truths about forgiveness is this:
You can forgive someone…
and still feel the pain of what happened.

Forgiveness is not pretending the wound didn’t happen.
It’s deciding the wound won’t define your future.
When someone hurts us, bitterness whispers:
“Hold onto this. Don’t let them get away with it.”
But bitterness is a prison we build for ourselves.

Forgiveness unlocks the door.
It doesn’t mean reconciliation always happens.
It doesn’t mean trust is instantly restored.
But it does mean your heart is no longer chained to the offense.
That kind of freedom is a gift God offers every one of us.

“Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13

At Capernaum Care, we know forgiveness is often a journey, not a single moment. If you’re on a hard forgiveness journey, take courage. God can bring healing even in the places that still hurt.

Forgiveness can feel hard, but sometimes we practice it more than we realize.
For example:
Your friend says “I’m five minutes away” but arrives twenty minutes later.
Your family member says “I’ll just tell you one quick story” and it turns into a 45-minute history lesson.
Or someone says “This meeting will be short.”
😄 We know that’s not true.

Life is full of little moments where we choose:
1. Hold the irritation. 2. Let it go.
Those tiny acts of grace train our hearts for the bigger ones.
Forgiveness is a habit of the heart.

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.” Colossians 3:13

Tag someone who is always “five minutes away.” 😄
And thank God that He keeps extending patience and forgiveness to all of us.
