Pray for Austin and the family today. He has a touch of pneumonia and some bacteria in his knee that may require surgery.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses." Acts 1:8
Pentecost Sunday was amazing. The fire, the wind, the celebration. But now it's Thursday, and regular life has resumed. So what does Pentecost mean for today?

Here's the truth: the Holy Spirit didn't just show up on one dramatic day 2000 years ago and then disappear. The Spirit is still here. Still moving. Still empowering. Still teaching. Still comforting. Still convicting. Still transforming.

The same Spirit who filled the disciples in the upper room wants to fill you today. The same power that emboldened Peter to preach is available to embolden you to witness. The same presence that guided the early church is ready to guide you.

Pentecost wasn't a one-time event. It was the beginning of the Spirit's ongoing work in and through God's people. Every day since then, the Spirit has been active - moving in ordinary people, doing extraordinary things, building the kingdom one transformed life at a time.

You don't need dramatic wind and fire to experience the Spirit's presence. You need openness. Willingness. A heart that says "Come, Holy Spirit. Fill me. Use me. Lead me."

The Spirit is here - not as a memory from the past, but as a present reality. Alive. Active. Waiting to empower you for whatever God is calling you to today.

Where do you need the Holy Spirit's power, wisdom, or comfort today? Ask Him. He's here.

Join us for a Mothers Day Message.

05/10/2026

Today we hold space for the many stories of motherhood - the joy and the ache, the presence and the absence, the hope and the grief.

We give thanks for mothers who have loved us well, who have sacrificed, nurtured, and shaped us. For the women who mothered us even when they didn't give birth to us - the aunts, grandmothers, mentors, and friends who stepped in with fierce love.

We hold tenderly those for whom this day is hard: those grieving mothers they've lost, those longing to become mothers, those who've lost children, those navigating complicated relationships with their mothers, those mothering alone, those whose circumstances have made motherhood different than they imagined.

We honor single mothers carrying double weight. Foster and adoptive mothers loving children not born to them. Stepmothers navigating blended families. Spiritual mothers investing in the next generation.

For those mothering in ways the world doesn't always see - through care, compassion, and presence - you are seen. Your love matters.

Lord, meet us in all of it - the celebration and the sorrow, the gratitude and the grief. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
