We had our sports banquet this week and were able to recognize some of the wonderful achievements of the following teams: volleyball šŸ , basketball šŸ€ , and air rifle šŸŽÆ Weā€™d like to thank all of our parents who helped support our teams this year and make it to the practices and games. We know how busy life is when you have kids involved in a sports program. Also, a special thanks to our coaches who volunteer their time and resources to invest in the players. It was a great year for our teams!

Our Spanish students did a terrific job last Friday presenting their chosen countries at the Tour of Nations in our gymnasium. They had to secure an object unique to their country, dress up, and provide a native food at their tables. The classes were able to walk through and see all the displays and do some taste testing. ā€œMuchas graciasā€ to the parents and their help with the success of another great year!

One final video for this throwback, especially since Motherā€™s Day is this coming Sunday. What heroes some of these parents of the past were! I look at Amy Carmichaelā€˜s mom and think of how hard it wouldā€™ve been to send your daughter so far away with no technology to see them face-to-face as we have today.

On Friday, our first and second grade classes held their annual Boxcar Derby. It is always amazing to see the creativity that is displayed through the individual ā€œcars.ā€ Thank you, parents for helping with this event. We know it would not be possible without your support. So much work goes into these end of the year projects! We appreciate Mrs. Adcock and Ms. Ray for getting everything prepared so these students could enjoy this special day out on the ā€œtrack.ā€
