Jesus died on the cross for my sins and for yours. The price has been paid. Now we confess our sins, accept Jesus in our heart and receive a peace like no other.

Why was Jesus placed in a manger?
“This will be a sign for you: you will find a
baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying
in a manger.” —LUKE 2:12
You can be confident that God was in control of every detail of
Jesus’ birth—including where He would be born and to whom.
And you also can be confident that it was God’s will for His Son
to be born in a stable instead of a palace.
Why was this? One reason is because God wanted to show us
that Jesus Christ came to bring salvation to everyone—not just
the rich and powerful, but the poor and downtrodden. God’s
love extends to the whole human race! And Jesus showed us
the depth of God’s love by willingly leaving Heaven’s glory and
sharing in our poverty.
The real question, however, is this: Have you paid attention to
Jesus? What place does He have in your life? This Christmas,
may you join with the shepherds and wise men in worshipping
Him as your Savior and Lord.

Below are some items that are being collected to help those that normally get food subsidies but soon will not because of the government shutdown. Please pray about donating and bring items to church if you want to help.

Please pray for the people of Texas affected by the flooding .

Please pray that many people will find comfort in the knowledge that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1, NKJV). Ask God to strengthen rescuers as they work—and lift up chaplain teams as they offer emotional and spiritual care to broken-hearted communities.

Psalm 23:5-6
English Standard Version
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely[a] goodness and mercy[b] shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell[c] in the house of the Lord
forever.[d]
